A very happy Midsummer's Day to all of you!

I know it's tomorrow; the solstice will be at 5:48 p.m., PT, but I wanted to be sure to get the greetings in early.

(Heads off to gather wood for the bonfire)

Happy midsummer to you too CreamyLady.

We don't celebrate or have midsummer here in Denmark until friday. And I have to admit that I'm not looking forward to the days getting shorter. I like it when the sun rises at 4:27 am, and sets at 9:54 pm.

Midsummer, damn I missed the beginning.

We have druids over here that celebrate the Soltice, Go figure. The thing is though Creamylady, they dress in robes and bond, and I wondered if you'd care to join me in a little bonding of our own.

Happy Midsummers day to you too.

Carl.

Carl.

I don't bother with the robes . . . after all, when one is jumping the balefire, robes have a nasty habit of catching fire.

Want to jump with me?

Jumping around naked, now that's celebrating.

You betcha, I would love to jump you, I mean jump with you. I would hold you tight, so that you didn't get cold, you could even sit on my lap, and we could talk about the first thing that came up.

Did I tell you, I'm sex mad, no, well now you know.

Carl.

Now I'm really jealous. How's the skiing, Chef?

Merry solstice to thee-hope the rituals were good and the balefire easy to jump-any drumming circles-we were stuck at home doing the post surgery recovery...did have a nice meal and I had a lovely herbal bath...blessed be my friend

Tell you a secret: my fires are always easy to jump, as I am a klutz and once caught my foot in the handle of a cauldron -- don't ask. Let's just say I ended up skidding, headfirst, into the Southern Quarter, and spending the rest of the circle with my foot up, packed in ice like shrimp cocktail.

I had a private celebration, no drumming, but knelt with my Garden Goddess and Her Consort, near the jasmine and roses.

Blessed be, and much prosperity, protection and happiness to both of you.

Blessed be to all! And a Merry Solstice. This has to be one of the most wonderful times of the year. I especially love it when it rains. Thunderstorms are the best, they bring me to life. I miss them in the winter.
