Solstice always makes my think of pagen religions, and not the modern druid types but real ancient tribes.

Perhaps this tribe have a ritual on the solstice to bring about the rebirth of the world where all the men of the tribe ejaculate on the chosen solstice queen...

But what happens in the days don't start to get longer, it didn't work.
