I suspect that the 'fellow author' may have been 'Rob' himself. It is not at all unusual for someone setting up an erotic site to troll Literotica for submissions.

Some of the people who contact Literotica authors are legit and it may be an opportunity. Some of them are phony. Author beware!

I got one like that about 8 months ago for ummm alt stories archive? nah that's not it but..either way it requests one specific story of mine and I ok'd it and now I'm published on 2 sites!
