Hi All
Can any one offer any advice on a suitable software package for me to download in order for me to be able to submit here, any advice you have would be most welcome in this area as I know nothing at all about this.
Thank you all in advance.
Kind regards
vallonia.

I see no need for any special software to post stories to this site. You just cut and paste your story--without any fancy formatting--into the story box on the submission's page. single spaced, paragraphs flush left, extra line feeds between paragraphs. If you want to have italics, use the html codes, opening with a and ending with an . You should think again forty-six times the urge to need any other special formatting or presentation. You're not designing a book here.

Yep. No need for special software. Lit takes Microsoft Word .doc files, or regular old .txt or .rtf files from something as simple as Notepad.

There are some submission guidelines buried somewhere in your member control panel. Honestly, the best way to figure out how this stuff works is to just start fiddling, but since we're neighborly folks, here's a link to the guidelines: Submission Guidelines.

As the guidelines suggest, you'll avoid a lot of grief from the readers if you run your story through some sort of spellchecker before you submit it. For the grammar-type stuff, a polite request here on the Editor's Forum for a proofreader will usually get you some help.

Fare thee well,

-PF
