Socialist economist: start public “school” @ 8 weeks for at-risk babies

James Heckman won the Economics Nobel Prize in 2000; he and colleagues, underwritten by government preschool advocates, have now produced a paper declaring the government needs to begin indoctrinating - I'm sorry, I mean "educating" - needy children 8 weeks after they're born because their learning environment is so disadvantaged compared to allegedly better-off babies of the same ages.

“If you look at disadvantaged children you’ll find that they’re getting about a third or a fourth as many words per hour as more advantaged children,” he told NPR. “The environments are fundamentally different. Over the lifetime, their young childhood — a period of say 0 to 5 — you’re getting a millions of words deficit between those who are advantaged and those who aren’t advantaged. That essentially is one way to close the gap. By literally reading to the child, by encouraging the child.”

Just imagine, with the massive influx of illegal immigrants this nation has weathered in the last decade, how worse this "at-risk" situation will become and how even more rabid socialists will get to line up their future voters asafp.
