That sounds like something someone told me once. "I vote democrat so I can keep getting welfare." As opposed to getting a job, or moving to another place where jobs in his field were available.

With so much time on his hands, being idle, it only led to trouble.

Look at Cuba, Venezuela, Greece, North Korea, China, Russia, any country that has a two class system of the poor and the royalist the people never win. Obama and his left wing communists (socialist) and progressive fascists have no respect for human rights, civil rights, job safety, product quality or the environment. They believe that the top elite, the corrupt and criminal have the divine right to rule the majority and that the people are there only to serve them. That is Socialism.

A dictator causes unrest among his/her own people. Keep them fighting each other so they can't fight those who are the real criminals. Every dictator and slave master (and yes the Democrats have always been the slave party and the Republicans always the Copperhead Party) knows that you attack the education, religion and the police. To become a police state first you must destroy the local police and then to bring the unrest to bay, you replace them with State Police whose loyalty is to the leader and not the law or the people. You take over the media and the education system and file the minds of the sheep with lies and anger at themselves. You destroy the religion and replace it with an occult of the state like the terrorists are doing in the Middle East.

Socialism Communism, Fascistism, Occultism are all the same. They all believe the same thing only like street gangs they each want the larger piece of the pie. They are absolute royalist. No difference in how the leaders live and rule. Even the most Communists of Communists, the little mad Emperor of North Korea lives like the worst kind of wall street capitalists. They live a rich life style while their people go poor and starve. Look at the Clinton's, Obama's and the Trump's. They all live the rich life off the money they steal from the people while they cry for more taxes, less freedom, and more power for themselves.

But it is not the system of government that is to blame, but the people. The same type of people who back these three and want us to be more like serfs of the state and not free people are the same misguided people who brought Hitler and Lenin to power. For some reason they believe that they will become part of the elite and live the life of royalty while all others are sold off into slavery. But if any of these fools were to look at what happened to the people who brought Hitler and Lenin and Mao and Castro, etc. to power they will see that they ended up at the bullet ridden walls. Dictators have no room for revolutionaries. They may get ideas.

People do not take time to study who they vote for, what each candidate stands for, who backs them, where they get their money, etc. Words mean nothing. Look at Obama. His words and his deeds never really match. From City to Federal elections you have to wonder, if this person is so good and has been around for so long while there are millions of us, and many who are better then them, including the people on this site, then why do we keep electing the same people over and over? If they were unable to keep the promise they first made when running what makes you think they can keep that same promise the 10th time you elect them?

And why do career politicians want more government, more power, more taxes (funny how they are unable to run their business with the money they already have, so they always ask for more and still more) and say look at how we can give the people free things, shinny things, a chicken in every pot, etc. And yet after they are elected and have power their socialism ideas drag the country into bankrupt and the people jobless and the country into slavery?

And you have to understand that a socialist can not be an American Constitutionist. They don't believe in the same type of government. That is why Obama and Clinton don't owe any loyalty to the people of this country. They don't believe in our system of the people running the government not the government running the people. They believe they are above the law and that the only laws are those they say. So if you want to end up like Cuba and Venezuela and Greece then put some chains on your wrist and give a bow to your little Gods.

I just have a very difficult time with someone spouting out a group of people are stupid and/or ignorant (calling them retarded) when they refuse to use punctuation and proper sentence structure. Perhaps it is laziness on this person's part - I don't know. But if you're too lazy to sound like an intelligent person when making an argument, even in writing, then you're guilty of the same crime of all the alleged democrats and "socialists" - laziness.

Also, as for the comment that someone keeps voting democrat so they can get welfare, it's as ignorant as saying someone keeps voting republican because they are rich and want to protect their wealth. Ridiculous and childish stereotypes is all you have with those types of sentiments.

Um, since it was my own beloved brother that said it to my face, I don't think I was 'stereo-typing' anyone... I was repeating what he said. Since I know him personally, and know he meant what he said, I can say he was certainly lazy and would rather 'party with friends' than get a job to support his family.

If that's the only reason you vote for a political party, whichever it might be, you've got a lazy outlook on things.

This sentiment I completely agree with. However, it was a stereotypical comment - the stereotype behind it being that only democrats endorse social programs such as welfare. Republicans are often more in favor of privately funded social programs whereas Democrats are more in favor of state/government-funded programs. Both parties do see a need for such programs.

This idea of 'free money' that my brother, and others I know have, is a typical idea amongst democrats. Whereas, others understand that money comes from the hands of their hardworking neighbors. The mentality that they are entitled to said money is typical of most people who believe in socialism. I'd rather feed my neighbor than have the government take it and disburse it to lazy slackers while those who truly need help get turned away.
