Our friend MYNAMEISNO told me about the stories. I saw there were message boards and convinced her to join. We joined together, but she soon left. I stayed. When I met cookie and Necro here in BDSM, I knew it was meant to be. 2 of the most important people in my life.

I read Lit for almost 2 years before I signed up for an account. I only signed up because I was bored one day and started exploring the rest of the site and stumbled into the forum. I lurked for about 3-4 months before signing up because it was killing me not to put in my 2 cents.

Here, I found an online community that doesn't care if I like clothespins, hard bondage, pain, anal, or any other interests. They also don't care if I come with a label or if my so-called label changes at the drop of a hat. It's nice to be accepted without qualifications.
I've also met some really good people that miss me when I go thru fits of lurking. Shout out to those who have reached out to me over the years. It warms my heart.

once you have 100 posts you will be able to post an AV pic like you see all over the board.

The profile info is broken. Probably permanently.
Many people who have info they want to share, place it in their signature.
Some people have the view of signatures turned off, so you cannot presume that people are accessing that info universally.

This is about my experience too. heart: Gracie) I started in the stories as inspiration to write my own and later stumbled into personals pages, which led me to the BDSM board. After lurking for over a year, I could not stand to not know a bit more about posters than what they said on the threads. I also found I had stuff to say too.

I was aware of naughty stories online before the WWW was invented (ask an old person about Gopher and Usenet). I went through a bunch of story sites and at some point, I think early 2000s, I discovered Lit. Read for years, while occasionally writing erotica elsewhere for friends and lovers.

Around 2012 I wrote a piece for my then-girlfriend and felt like it was worth sharing more broadly, with their permission. The places I'd posted before were drying up for one reason and another, so I created an account and posted here. It was meant to be a one-shot but I stayed, visited the Authors' Hangout, and then discovered here.

I like the mix of threads -- threads with clothespins, bondage, pain, gardening, music, books, mental illness and glitter. Almost like real life!

Life does get in the way of Lit.

I started on the Playground under a different profile. I don't even remember that name? It was fun and games for sure. I think that was 2006? Maybe even earlier. I had one of those infamous PG hookups that crashed and burned in a fantastic, public way. So I created this profile but didn't stick around - Lit had lost its allure.

I came back when Mr. cookie was sick. It was purely distraction. I'm so glad I did - I met Fara and Necro who share a place in my heart.

Like others -- I feel a little removed from Lit lately.

But I keep coming back. Feels safe in a strange way.

Like many, I found the stories first. I was reading here about 6 years before finding the forum. My forum experience has been very interesting over the past 12 years (TWELVE?!?). I’ve made some super close friends from here that I talk to at least weekly on other social media or texting. Learned some hard lessons here. I can go a while without checking in, but the quarantine has me with lots more free time than normal.

The BDSM forum remains my favorite, although I do miss how much busier it used to be. A lot of voices have left over the years.
