Social attitudes can be disgusting at times...

I know some don't like negative stories, but this one really bothered me. Note it isn't about gayes but still troubling. It is about the sexual abuse of an 11 year old girl by 18 men and boys. It is disgusting enough that things like that happen. It is even worse that some try to make an ELEVEN year old girl or her parents to be at fault. Plus they had proof that this happened because they put it on their cell phones! Have we devolved into animals?

I will remind you though, that news is news BECAUSE it's more or less unusual. Thousands of young girls who haven't been molested-- that's not news and you won't read about it.

Your right. It is kind of like scum on water. Yes it is there, and disgusting, but the majority of water below it is just fine. One must remember the glass is really nearly full (not nearly empty), you just need to get rid of the little bit of scum on the top.

I investigate child abuse claims. It isn't as rare as you'd like to think. Average age of onset, nationwide, for sexual abuse of girls is approximately five years. Earlier in cases of incest.
