Ok, everyone, what soaps do you watch? How long have you been watching them? What was your favorite storyline ever? Who's your favorite actor and actress? Who do you love, and who do you love to hate? Who do you want to sleep with? I call dibbs on Sonny from GH!

That's not fair Arden!! You took Sonny!!! Actually right now I don't watch them. I used to back in the late 70's when I was married and then again later when working nights, quit again and one of the guys at work got me hooked on GH again when Lucky came back on. And finally recently quit watching them again.

I watch All My Children, One Life to Live and General Hospital. At one time I watched Days of our Lives.

Always loved Luke and Laura, and all their adventures. This next generation doesn't stay together long at all, like they used to. Of course you have to love Erica and Jack Montgomery. Tad always spices things up, too. Love to hate Dorian Lord. Too many to love and hate. Love Anna, she was great on GH and now on AMC also. And of course you have to love to hate David, it looks like he is trying to be a good guy, something just always happens.
Don't know what my all time favorite story line was, maybe when Luke raped Laura and then they fell in love???? Now how realistic is that?

I wouldn't want to sleep with any of them now. Used to I wanted to sleep with the guy that plays Ned on GH, when he was on Days of Our Lives and of course, Rick Springfield and Richard Dean Anderson when they were on GH. Sonny is a hot mobster.

Heh... I don't really want Sonny, I just wanted to have dibbs on him. I think he's a bit too young for me! But he & Carly are great together.

Ned's smile is to die for though!

Wow, I used to watch the same soaps you did, AMC, OLTL and GH, anyway. I had a friend in high school that watched them, back when Erica was still in her teens. I remember thinking she was nuts to watch soap operas - we were maybe 15 or 16 then!

I started watching them after my son was born, almost 21 years ago. I kept up for a while, but then couldn't when I started working again. Used to catch up a few times a year if one of the kids were home sick.

The nice thing is that you can quit watching for a year or two, and catch up in one day if you happen to have the chance to watch.

Luke & Laura's wedding was neat, I remember Liz Taylor being there. Yep, the rape romance was almost too bizarre - I think that story would be considered bad taste today. Also when Palmer's daughter got married - I can't remember her name, though! Pretty blonde girl, long gone from the show.

Dorian - ewwwww! What a witch, lol! I never liked Tina either, something about her rubbed me the wrong way.

The guy that plays Anna's husband used to play a guy named Rafe(?) on a defunct soap called Loving. He was young, and played a nice guy then. I watched for a few months and it disappeared one day. I sometimes caught Santa Barbara, and remember Alexis and her shrink from GH being on that show, aw well as Robin ___, the girl that went on to star in "The Princess Bride."

I almost forgot about Richard Dean Anderson, I never watched the McGuyver series.

I used to enjoy the humorous exchanges between Felicia and Mac on GH, too bad the writers ended their relationship. I'd love to strangle her teenage daughter now, though!

I catch a show at night once in a while if my daughter isn't watching Disney, but I don't allow myself to watch during the day. I'd never get anything done around here.

Nina Cortland and she married that guy that is on another show now. can't think of his name.

Felicia and her real life husband Jack Wagner, I don't remember what happened to him. I know Tony is his brother. Yeah I liked it when Scorpio and Anna were on there and he was supposed to get killed and Robin was just a little girl. Well for that matter sometimes when I was in jr. high I worked in the library and some of the cheerleaders that were in there with me watched Erica and like you said she was just a teenager and also watched Laura grow up. I also liked Jenny, Kim Delaney and I remember when she got killed in the accident at the lake. I couldn't believe it. I don't watch them now either, but like you say if I do happened to catch one, you can pretty much catch up on what happened. the only thing is when someone gets killed you don't know what happened.

Lol... getting killed on a soap is seldom permanent, they almost always come back at a later date, having not really died at all. Some even come back as ghosts.

AMC: Jessie & Angie were cool, and I remember Liza being a teenage twit throwing herself at Greg. Jenny & Greg from were a good pair, yep, it was hard to see her go.

It is nice, though, to see an actor or actress doing well after they leave the soaps. So many just fade away.

I caught a preview for todays GH episode this morning.... If anyone has a chance to watch this afternoon, let us know if Carly gets away.

:D

My mother used to get up at the buttcrack of dawn and do all of her housework so at 1:00 she could sit down and watch her 'stories'. So, I grew up watching 'Secret Storm', 'General Hospital', and 'As The World Turns'. Later on, she stayed on CBS all the time and watched 'The Young and the Restless', 'As The World Turns' and 'The Guiding Light'. So, being that I was playing in a band at night, I would get up and watch them with her, and got addicted.
I don't remember who played her, but I always wanted to get into Ashley Abbot's pants on 'Young and the Restless'. :p

See, most guys won't admit they watch, or ever have watched soaps. Chickens! lol It's no different than following a prime time series regularly. The only downfall are those HORRIBLE diaper commercials, with babies doing things that babies don't do naturally. Sheesh...

I remember Ashley... her long blonde hair, huge smile... looked pretty sexy in her chic business attire and glasses. :D

Heh, even back then I wouldn't admit I had a thing for tall chic women. ;)
