I've done it myself.

Several years ago we built a Quickie Mart on a vacant lot at the entrance to Snooty Gardens. The homeowners raised hell about it. On one occasion I went to the store to deal with a mob of homeowners who were picketing the place. And I sat up my surveyors transit (telescope) to check the rear lot line, to make sure we weren't encroaching.

When my transit was up and calibrated, I looked thru it and saw something that made me smile. It was someones kennel parked atop the lot line. So I found the guy who owned the kennel and asked him to look thru the transit, and lemme know what he saw. ITS MY EFFING KENNEL! Then I told him where it was. And he looked at me, then talked his neighbors into leaving us alone.

I have a friend who bought some property in Colorado years ago, getting close to retirement he drove back to look it over with the thought of building a vacation home. Imagine his surprise when he found two brand new homes built on it. He came out of it smelling like a rose.

Been there, done that. We had a civil engineer pin a block of lots starting at the wrong end of the street. Homes were atop easements and lot lines and above sewer lines and power cables. It was a mess. I learned surveying from that debacle, so I could check the work before we built.

Hell, the county put a road across a chunk of land it didn't own, to create a spiffy egress for a new concrete company. Well, the owner comes to town, has his land surveyed, and puts up a chainlink fence across the road. The county shit. The concrete company bulldozed the fence (bad idea), and everyone paid out the ass.

The company I work for has a warehouse in a predominantly black neighborhood.

We're moving out of there and the several times I've been down there with a few guys to show them what we're keeping and what we're trashing I have been called a variety of amusing words by the local population.

Don't tell me they have love for all races they are just like everyone else there are good and there are ignorant.

Seems they can be classified by age group. Over 40 knows what the n-word really means. Under 40 its a damn joke and all white people are crackers
