Here it's a very lean Beef Roast marinated with Garlic, Onions and Ancho Chili's then slow cooked/smoked for the past couple of hours. (I put it in the smoker at 1300 and it's currently 2000.) Should be nice.

So what are you having tonight?

Wow! We really need to get together in the kitchen after the kids are born. Know if you're carrying boys or girls, yet? Feisty as you're getting I'm betting on boys and cross placenta testosterone.

Hey, I was raised on a farm. There's only one thing I do better than cook...
(and I've been known to do that in the kitchen too)

P.S. Do not go near "barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen!"

Like I said, carrying twin boys . . .

BTW, I'm not wearing any shoes and I'm in the kitchen. Fortunately not pregnant, though . . .

Publix chicken cordon bleu, mixed veg, pinot grigio and salads. We were also going to have couscous, but my husband fixed the meal and he forgot about the couscous. Oh, well...

Tonight I was out to a meeting, but last night it was sausage and mash with cabbage, and gravy with lots of onions. "Plain cooking"...

I actually cooked this evening. Spaghetti with a very nice sauce.

I'd almost forgotten how much I liked spaghetti. Due to a roommate, now gone, the kitchen was in too much of a mess to cook.

Garlic Shrimp..!
I've never made garlic shrimp before but we love garlic on just about everything else and I was just thinking it would be great on shrimp too
Served with a fresh salad and warm bread, YUM!!! :)

Here, Rob, try this one.

You open a can of plum tomatoes and pour them into a blender. Reserve the juice. Blend them into a liquid and pour it into a pan. Cut an onion into quarters and put it in the tomatos. Add a half stick of butter. Simmer the whole thing for 45 minutes, adjust the seasoning and throw out the onion. Simplest, most delicious tomatoey pasta sauce you can imagine.

Fresh homemade noodles with a garlic and white wine cream sauce and sauted mushrooms.

Last night we had spaghetti bolognese with a cinnamon pudding cake for afters (it was good) and tonight we're having a version of lancashire hotpot -with beef as lamb is too bloody expensive right now. *L*

We are having a nice meal to celebrate having twins:

Salade Landaise (with chicken instead of duck)
Beef Tenderloin Medallions w/ Cognac Sauce
White Asparagus w/ Hollandaise Sauce
Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Banana Splits (Whoo Hoo!)

(Hey, I took a French cooking class - gimme a break!)

Gee After see what everone else is haveing I feellike I am haveing dinner food tonight. Just some 3 alarm Chili and Corn bread is all I'm haveing tonight. Been slow cooking it in the slow cooker all afternoon.

Panic soup.

It's when you have guests över but forgot about it until an hour before they come. Then you take everything you have out of cupboards and fridge and say "ok, what of this can I throw in a blender?"

Today it was chicken stock, cream, chopped parsnip, carrots, fennel extract, dried basil, leftover white wine, chalotte, garlic, tomatoes and saffron. Threw it in aforementioned blender, zapped it for two minutes, mixed with water, heated up, let simmer for 15 minutes, while I threw some olive oil over loaves of white bread and threw em in the oven for crisping, chopped and sizzled a pack of bacon and went medieval on some lettuce.

Well, if I don't get Baked Alaska, I guess I'll have to eat Delaware Crow instead.

Chicken Dovi
A Zimbabwean Chicken stew with onions, bell pepper and peanut butter mixed into the gravy. Then you serve half the gravy over steamed greens (I use Swiss chard though the original recipe called for pumpkin leaves) and the rest of the stew over steamed rice. Plus we're having Tuscan melon.

I was lazy tonight. We had french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, OJ, and sliced mango's. :)

Buffalo/bleu cheese burgers with cucumber & tomato salad and corn on the cob.

Tonight was marinated Grilled Chicken, (Marinated with Garlic and Onion,) thin sliced then served over Bowtie Pasta, (boiled with fresh grated Garlic and a touch of Red Wine.) The whole thing liberaly covered with a simple Brie Sauce.

This served with nicely toasted French Bread drizzled with seasoned Olive Oil.

Was supposed to be fish tacos but I got home late an was distracted by assembling pipe into my new orchid house so couldn't go to the store. Plus, I'm coming down with a cold, I think. Maybe I'll just call for a pizza or go pick up something from the deli section.

What WAS for dinner?

A prime cut Porterhouse Steak that I marinaded for 2.5 days in pineapple juice, soy sauce and a little brown sugar.

Grilled this evening for 13 minutes on both sides. Medium well with a faint hot pink center.

A side of steamed broccoli and corn on the cob.

And no...I did not eat it all by myself. My dad helped. Seems he has gotten very well adapted to his dentures since I tried to serve him steak when he visited me about 2 years ago. :D

And there are left overs.

So I guess tomorrow it will be Steak fajitas.:)

Can you say YUM!?!?
