So what's a penis????

Dixon, wouldn't he actually be talking about Tipper?

I don't think Al or the shrub actually have one.

You're the kind of guy that would pull Costello aside and explain to him clearly and exactly who Who is, aren't you? LOL

Only if I was bored and wanted to excercise my great ability for stating the obvious;)

I really don't see Tipper having anything as dirty as a penis. Perhaps she's had it surgically removed.
(ducking and running cause I'm sure all men everywhere have emmited a collective groan similar to the kind my hubby gives when the baby pinches the end of his penis)

Actually though, I lik'em....or at least I like the ones in my life

NO wonder I am in love with you......

:p

Could it be another word for the male brain pan? ;-)

That would assume that males have brains, CL. And we both know the definition of assume, don't we?

God gave man both a brain and a penis, however he only gave him enough blood to use one or the other.

Males have to have brains, Gaucho, at least the rudimentary R-complex brain. I believe it doesn't take up too much space.

I am willing to admit I may be wrong though. We'll see after tonight.

Third base.

Speaking of third base I'm feeling exceptionally, er, horny today. Where's that story section again...?

Feeling horny are you, Dixon?
Perhaps, I can be of assistance?

FlamingoBlue:
Is it nothing more than an over developed clitoris???
No, the penis predates the clitoris in mammalian development. A clitoris is really an ungrown penis but on the flip side tentacles are modified ovaries.

Love is understanding.

That remark just ruined your karma for tonight! LOL

Now you'd REALLY better go easy on the plum wine!

Ooops.
What, you never heard of tentacle sex?
I noted that after I posted but I figured no one would read my answer.

Actually, Miss Never, this isn't quite correct (or at least you're not explaining yourself clearly). To pull back some embryology I learned a few years ago, the genitalia of all embryos, male and female, are alike until approx. the 10th week of gestation. Until this point, male and female embryos both have "primordial genitalia" (great term, huh?). The presence or absence of several sex-specific hormones at this stage begins the process of differention and determines whether the embryo will have male or female genitals. The same general process occurs with ovaries and testes (or the "tentacles" as you call them ;)).

So it's not really that the clitoris becomes a penis or visa versa, but rather that both form from a more primative set of structures. To demonstrate, here's a couple of ways to show the progression during development:

The embryologic "phallus" becomes the glans and body of the penis in the male or the clitoris in the female.

The embryologic "genital swellings" become the labia minora in the female and the scrotum in the male.

Never, dear, you should know by now, that if I am here, I will read your replies. Except on most political and religious threads.

Forgive me Dr. Clozof, I didn't explain myself correctly because I assumed Flamingo was talking about the development of those two parts in evolutionary terms and not embryonic. True, in all mammals and most animals that reproduce sexually the embryo has this 'primitive genitalia', however, unless I've forgotten my biology (it's quite possible as I haven't been in school for two years) human females are the only ones with clitorises while males of most species have penises. Hence my statement that penises predate clitorises.

Now, while I cannot argue with your comment on development, if I remember correctly the clitoris is actually developed in response to the male hormones while the rest of the vagina and uterus develops in response to the female hormones. Then again, people born with only an X chromosome are considered female though they have no clitoris so perhaps it's more complex than I remember.

If, however, I'm remembering correctly then this clitoris could be called an ungrown, or perhaps, underdeveloped penis glans.

Ah, I suppose I'll search the web for awhile. It's quite possible I'm incorrect about that but I'm almost certain I'm not.

I understood your post perfectly well before you edited it, thank you.
