Does anyone know where the line between "web space provider" and "secondary producer" goes? Could this mean an end to web hotels or blog providers like LiveJournal, because they can't control all public content on their servers?Brinnie said:As posters on Lit, we are tertiary producers and the secondary producer is responsible for our actions.

They won't. They will all die...a violent and painful death! http://homepage.mac.com/ericliskay/smilies/dino_devil.gif http://homepage.mac.com/ericliskay/smilies/dino_laugh.gifLovepotion69 said:Just read the new rules. Now, can someone explain to me how US porn sites will be able to survive if this is to be reinforced?

Well so you can’t show your vibrating penis or a woman shaking her legs as she feels her man or paid lover depositing his “baby gravy” lol! I love that term. Anyway this does in no way affect the written word which is more powerful than any picture.
In my mind it really makes no difference at all to Lit, we create visual images through words that can blow the mind much more effectively than any picture.

Another thing I want to say is about what content is allowed on this
site. Due to the recent enforcement of new law related to adult sites,
the credit card company is changing their policy too. This is not
really
a matter of legitimacy because the new restriction includes legal
content. So this is just a matter of compliance with the new credit
card
processing policy. [my bolds--dr.M.]
Below I listed the content that are not allowed. I know it will not
allow your imagination going wild, but still there are plenty of
bdsm-related topics around for your next story.
Thank you very much for your attention.

Underage (Provocative and/or Non-Provocative)
------------------------------------------------------------
Any and all depictions and/or actual occurrences and/or references to
Underage (Provocative and/or Non-Provocative); including Hentai or

Bestiality

Actual or implied sexual acts between humans and animals in all mediums
including Hentai or animations. It is a violation if any marketing or
advertising to and from sites containing this content.
Sexual acts between men and/or women in the presence of animals are
acceptable, contingent that the animals are not included in the sexual
acts, unless the marketing of the site infers bestiality; in all
mediums
including Hentai or animations.
Rape

Any and all depictions and/or actual occurrences and/or references and

Incest

The one I worry about is the "forced" sex. Most of my stories there involve reluctance, and I'm afraid it might fall under the proscription.
The one Lit has to worry about is incest, which is pretty strictly forbidden.
See, this is how it works. The government takes a position, and suddenly the money people - the credit card companies, the banks and investors - get cold feet and start withrdrawing from the market rather than risk a courst challenge and all that hassle. They don't have to make it illegal to stifle it.
No legal challenge, no day in court, nothing noble about free speech. They just scare these guys in their wallets and they pack up and run screaming.
