So terror watch list people and rapists shouldn't have gun buying background checks?

So far we have seen that the shooters at Sandy Hook, VA Tech, both in Colorado and Washington have been lib/dems. Maybe you should be required to get a back round check.

Unfortunately, there is no test or background check, to insure the sanity of people, or their relatives, before they can buy weapons of mass destruction.
Then again, how about all those bad guys, out there, you know, the drug dealers the robbers and, gasp, the people who feel dis'ed if you look at them wrong, they buy guns on the sly, nobody ever checks them. What's up with that ?

Another totally moronic straw man thread.

The Feds are NOT enforcing the laws already on the books, so let's make some new laws not to be enforced that will have no effect other than to infringe on the law-abiding.

Gee, sorry for the slight inconvenience before allowing you to handle a lethal weapon.

Where's that tiny violin?

How does a law that's not enforced infringe on anybody?

So you're saying there's a law on the books that requires background checks for all gun sales? From what I'm reading there aren't background checks for anyone buying a gun from another citizen. So it's legal to sell guns to rapists and terror watch list people without anyone looking into their background.

Likewise there are no laws (and there are in fact bans against) saying gun vendors have to keep track of their inventory. So if they want to sell guns off the books to people who want to circumvent background checks there's no way to track it. You want the Feds to enforce existing laws but the fact is the gun lobby bought legislation with the sole purpose of obstructing the Feds from enforcing them.

Why is this okay?

how can a BACKGROUND check detect a TERRORIST?

tell me

ITS OK!

I'll

WAIT:rolleyes:

If a terrori suspect s being monitored by the FBI and goes to buy a dozen assault rifles then the FBI may have more information to detect him as a terrorist.

then a BACKGROUND check isn't needed

as the FBI is watching him

right?

How can anyone argue this?

the terror watch list is FULL of FALSE POSITIVES

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_Fly_List

why would YOU besmirch INNOCENT AMERICANS?

How would a watch list

STOP TERRORISTS?

We have already established the FBI is already watching the OBVIOUS ones

(btw, the so called "FBI" was watchinng the 9/11 turds and DID nothing cause they didn't wanna seem ISLAMAPHOBIC.....you know that.....RIGHT?)

so tell us CURRY

how a so called WATCH LIST can spot a TERRORIST?

Description of Appeal to Belief

Appeal to Belief is a fallacy that has this general pattern:

Most people believe that a claim, X, is true.
Therefore X is true.

Unless you would like to show some proof for your claim?
