All hell breaks loose over there at least three times a century. We've been around for what, maybe 50 years in the global scene?

Diplomatically fine. Financially? What the hell for. If a country is so in dire need of 3 billion dollars a year, then is it really a sovereign state or is it just collatoral. Hell, Clinton gave Mexico a 50 million dollar co-signature on a loan. They need it worse than the Israelis do. Why aren't we just giving it to them? What about sub-sharan Africa where a lot of people are languishing in war-torn, drought ridden hell? Think they could do with 3 billion dollars?

Deep down inside do you really believe more money will solve the problems of education? Hasn't education gotten worse while government involvement increased?

The best thing that could happen to education would be to privatize it. Pay someone else to do it better and cheaper. Face it - aside from the military, the gov. does a lousy job delivering services. More money will mean more bureacracy, and thats about it.

I can still purchase American made products that are better made and have a longer user life that the crap that is imported.
