What is the most relaxing thing you've ever done?

This just came to me as i was walking out to get the mail...a storm had been coming in for about 20 minutes. As i was walking back down the driveway it started to pour, not just little drops, huge drops that soak you instantly. So there was no lightening and i decided to get on the kids swingset...as i was swinging i closed my eyes...it almost felt like i was flying :cathappy:

Sadly the storm only lasted about 10 mins...but after the weekend i've had it is amazing how relaxed i feel now...i love the rain...and i highly recomend swinging in it if you can

Relaxing?

Fishing on a bywater of the Norfolk Broads with an unbaited hook.

Just sitting, watching the wildlife from dragonfiles to water voles and listening to the birds singing.

It was a school-organised holiday and 'fishing' was an acceptable activity. I spent ten days just enjoying the peace.

I had to dissuade an eel who thought that my bare hook was an invitation.

The only annoyance was the very few passers-by who would ask if I had caught anything.

I had to pay seven shillings and sixpence (37.5 pence) for my fishing permit for the fortnight. It was worth it.

At 12, sailing on a lake in a tiny Sunfish, with my first ever girlfriend with me.

Moving slowly, with no need to be anywhere, and all the time in the world.

A moving vehicle under my control, with the possibilities a woman brings into a man's life on the distant horizon.

I aim for two relaxing things every day. Last night I went to a castle in the middle of nowhere to watch shooting stars. Usually I'm on the coast, watching the sun set and dolphins jumping in the water, if I'm lucky. My daytime retreat is a hidden forest down my road, that very few people know about. I like sitting on the banks of the stream, trailing my fingers through the water and watching the way the sun shines through the trees. :rose:

I just had a professional whole-body massage. I defintely vote for that.

Ohhhh...now that sounds nice...i need to find something i can do on a regular daily basis that can help me relax...if only it would rain every day :cathappy:

Finding a valley completely hidden from site of any buildings and just being able to sit by the stream and listen to the birds as the sun set.

Swimming, nature walks, reading and sex. Not necessarily in that order. Or combined. :D
