I eat at this Thai place, and have been getting Tom Yum Noodle Soup and Thai Iced Tea.

They are definitely putting something in that meal other than normal food.

When I'm done I get warm, have a pervasive good feeling ease over my body, and get a little sleepy, no matter what is going on, I've tried this in a number of situations and do not have the same effect from other Thai restaurants with the "same" items...

Any idea what this place is putting in the food?

Obviously cocaine or heroin (are both of those edible?)

Don't eat Thai food so no idea.

It's most likely turmeric, which is a known mood booster.

It could be Saffron which has antidepressants qualities and can be used in Thai dishes. But the flavor can be over powering

Interesting... I'm not sure... but whatever it is has some seriously potent effect. It's not an upper, but I've been around enough to know when I'm feeling significant effects from something...

could be herbs in the tea..
could be msg..

my favorite thai place here uses nothing 'fake' and I leave feeling wonderful. Even the creme brulee is made with coconut milk instead of heavy cream.

ask the hostess for a list of ingredients.. and if it's a good feeling after you eat it.. take me!

:D You'd like it I'm sure... I don't really care, just curious, in this town it could be anything, there are a long list of "supplements" that they might be including in the Thai iced tea mix or the soup or both... let alone honest spices as mentioned above...
