There may have been no gun registry per se, but those background checks would result in a list of who had what kind of gun, and the FBI and others would have that list. Then, when Liberals decided to move against the Second Amendment, they would have a handy list of where to go and whom to talk to.

Think of the implications: Employers cant ask you all kinds of things but they could ask you if you can legally own a gun. If you say NO it means youre either a felon or a whack-a-doodler. Do you actually believe government agencies will refrain from breaking laws they find restrictive? Do you also believe in the tooth fairy? How about the Easter bunny?

Security cameras are found all over. They are intended to protect businesses from robbers, and display only a minimum of info on anybody who was filmed. They do not include the name, address and medical history of everybody who enters a store.
