The local news station had two stories on this evening that got my attention. I'm waiting for them to put up the videos on their web site. (When they do I'll post them here.)
The first story was just a bit nuts yet interesting at the same time. A local diver came across and filmed an Alligator laying on the bottom near a reef, in 30 feet of salt water. (Yes Alligators will enter salt water but it is rare. The salt damages their eyes.) I found it interesting as I have dove on that reef more than a few times.
The other is about a child, one years old, that was left on a roadside and rescued by a passerby. The mother was found and arrested. She claimed the child didn't need rescueing as she had put it there to wait for it's father.
