I am off to the Leeds Erotica Festival today, I'm on the panel for the Erotic Literature day.

I'm going to be reading my smut out in public oh, and there will be questions!

I am *so* nervous, this is my first in the flesh public appearance as Ms Blisse.

Oh, fellow authors, give me your soothing words and encouragement, please.

I'll report back on how it went tonight.

Be proud of every word. You created it. You wrote it. And you own it. There is not another story like the one you wrote.

Read it with emotion. All the sensuality of every word to take you over so that when you are done your audience will understand the real meaning of erotica.

I wish we had something like that here. You are lucky to reach an audience who will surely appreciate listening to you read your work.

You'll be just fine. I really enjoy doing readings, and -- surprisingly -- I prefer daylight ones, where I can see my audience. Those dark nightclubs are unnerving.

You know, even after all these kind words of support, if you are still nervous, if you still feel that reading your story will be a disaster and you just can't get through it. This is what you should do to help you to relax. Trust me, I'm a fiction writer and I have written about fictional doctors in the past.

This is what to do.

If you are nervous, very nervous, while reading your story( and it's important that you wear a button blouse), slowly and seductively unbutton your blouse pausing to allow everyone to see what each unbuttoned button reveals before unbuttoning the next button

Once your blouse is unbuttoned, while not skipping a beat reading your story, slowly remove your blouse, puff out your chest, and allow everyone a view of your sexy bra. Next, reach around behind you and unhook your bra, but hold your bra in place with your hand. Slowly, remove the straps from your shoulders allowing them to fall before you remove your arms.

Now, that you are not as nervous. Now, that you are comfortable reading your story, you may remove your bra. Trust me...I'm a fictional doctor. This works all the time.

Now, the laughter of everyone who is listening to you read will relax you, once they see the smiling happy faces that you have pasted to your nipples. Good luck.

I had a great time yesterday, I met some wonderful people, including a publisher very interesting in having me send some of my work her way, which I will do as all her books are carried porminantly in the big booksellers over here and a couple of fellow authors and a fantastic poet.

It was a very relaxed, intimate affair and i found the nerves dissipated once i arrived and started to help to set up and they never came back throughout the whole afternoon. Yes, you can say 'I told you so ' now. Oh, and I sold some books, so yay me.

I was such a bag of nerves from the moment i woke up to the minute i met Amy (organiser) at Leeds Station. All the nerves went then and I just had a thoroughly good time with some great characters.
