As the title says there is a nut with a rifle outside 2 blocks from my house and everyone has been ordered inside. Sat outside for about the 1st 2 hours of the standoff until a uniformed cop came by the porch and told me to get inside. Needless to say a 4 block by 8 block area around the area where the guy is full of police officers. When the shit first started going down I took the car out and drove around and counted 18 cop cars and a paddy-wagon all within the area. But now I am stuck inside the house writing this out because I have nothing better to do while a cop cap sits outside on the street corner right in front of my house.

So what I am looking for is suggestions on things to do while a nut with a rifle is 2 blocks away?

I thought about it earlier when the cops were a block down the road but decided I didn't need the trouble at the time. If this crap goes on much longer I may just give a nice loud scream or casually walk up to the cop and ask if they need any assistance.

A gun holding a nut hostage? We had a murder last night South of here. The way the newscast plays it, the gun did the killing! Phrases like, "bullets whipped into the apartment..and gunshots ended the life.." completely left the human element detached from the crime. How did the news cover your event?
There's no fucking bias in the news around here!

So... you didn't get him with the first shot then?

The guy ended up shooting himself in the head at around 4:30 am local time. So it ended up being a 6-7 hour stand-off and from what I saw and have heard it was a nice sized rifle that left quite a mess.
