U.S. manufacturers experience worst month since 2007-2009 Great Recession, ISM finds

The numbers: American manufacturers posted the biggest contraction in September since the end of the 2007-2009 recession, reflecting a slowdown in the U.S. and global economies made worse by a tense trade war with China.

The Institute for Supply Management said its manufacturing index fell to 47.8% last month from 49.1%, marking the lowest level since June 2009. That’s when the Great Recession ended.

Meanwhile Trump tweets CONGRATS to Xi for 70 years of Communist rule! Republican lawmakers are not amused. How about BotBoy, the GB’s avowed Commie hater, will he defend the Stable Genius?:D

Of course BotanyProudBoy will defend him. It's what he does - no matter what.

I thought Trump promised to revive manufacturing. I guess that isn't as important as digging up dirt on Biden's son. Or tweeting. Or playing golf.

I caught ComradeBotany in a flat-out lie this morning about NASA and climate change, it's fun watching him squirm and squeal and deflect to avoid admitting error.

Rob the socialist calling a liberal a comrade and making up more lies. Priceless.

What lie did you catch me in?

Anther "You can't ask me to back up my accusations, that's sealioning!!" incoming.

He'll never state specifically much less quote the alleged lie.

Deflection.

Refutation.....more deriding of veterans too.

Good job, you're no more than a handful of post away from hurling racial slurs to try and prop up your rampant dishonesty by my estimations. :D

Back on topic, far from ComradeWelfareQueen's pathetic cheerleading...

"Flyover country" farmers are starting to realize it's easier to take that sweet, sweet Trump "tariff slushfund" money than to do, you know, actual farming. They've quit buying things like tractors. The John Deere tractor factory in Quad Cities, Illinois laid off 150 manufacturing jobs today.. The Louisiana steel mill that provided prefab steel to the tractor plant is also laying off workers.

ComradeWelfareQueen will be along shortly to explain how this is actually GOOD news for the economy....

Defend his generic twitter diplomacy with your comrades? Sure....I don't see the problem.

What's the problem with it??

The socialist continues to call a liberal comrade....and then derides veterans in the same breath. Your talent for being a garbage human being is impressive Rob.

It's easy to explain it when you just make shit up or ascribe positions to people.

As for the economy, there is growing concern for the impact of these tariffs on slowing world economic growth and a potential recession.

You'd know, you and Rob are two of the best at that.

As for the economy, there is growing concern for the impact of these tariffs on slowing world economic growth and a potential recession.

That's the whole point of a trade war.......a recession is the objective.

Don't forget the 2,700 people who lost their jobs because farmers aren't being supported by socialist programs to produce ethanol:

Trump farm secretary in Wisconsin: No guarantee small farms will survive

President Donald Trump’s agriculture secretary said Tuesday during a stop in Wisconsin that he doesn’t know if the family dairy farm can survive as the industry moves toward a factory farm model.

“In America, the big get bigger and the small go out,” Perdue said. “I don’t think in America we, for any small business, we have a guaranteed income or a guaranteed probability of survival.”

Screw small businesses and family farms.

Can anybody figure out where ShazzBotToi's posts begin and end among all the other blathering clutter?

^^^Folks, may I present the next winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Holy fuck!

That may well be the most idiotic thing I've ever read on Lit.

And that's saying something.

He's a special kind of stupid.

Wow...when you think he simply cant say anything dumber...proves me wrong again.

You think subsidies are socialism? LOL

Trump farm secretary in Wisconsin: No guarantee small farms will survive

And? That's been a small farm/business reality....forever.

Screw small businesses and family farms.

As if that has EVER been a problem for either party??

And no logic backing up your preposterous notion. Typical.

The whole point of the trade war is to tank Chinas economy until they comply with our trade request right??

That will drag ours down into a recession as well, which is to be expected, it's a fuckin' trade war...there will be casualties. This is why I have ZERO sympathy for the soy farmers and pork farmers who knew but did nothing to prepare a back up plan. That's just being a bad farmer.

Hopefully, the objective is that ours won't be hit as hard and our people will be more resilient sacing a few extra bucks for whatever, waiting that extra year or two to get the new car than the Chinese will when they are starving to death and eating their kids to make it through the winter.
