So is the no fav notification permanent?

Its been a few days now that we no longer see when people favorite us. I know they are still coming because you can see the top two fifty list changing daily.

Is this a glitch or a change? If a change I have no idea how this benefits anyone. Authors love to see new favorites as they get them and more importantly many ask on the boards if there is a way to keep track.

Right now if you are not on the 250 list the only way to track favs is to keep track of your recent activity, now they are not showing up at all so now no way to do it for the vast majority of authors.

If this is a simple glitch then it gets fixed when it gets fixed. If its an permanent or the first step in an 'upgrade' it would be nice to know.

And have the logic behind eliminating such a popular feature explained.

Definitely not permanent!

Our plan is to increase the number of available notifications for authors, not decrease them.

We have caused a few bugs in the old control panel during our work on the new control panel. We are trying to get them all resolved now.

The first version of the new Control Panel only has the existing notifications (unless we missed anything ), but in the future we plan to add notifications that you can turn on/off depending on how much information you want.

Authors with a lot of submissions and activity may not want to know every time someone follows them, votes on, or favorites their story. Other authors may want to know every single thing that happens relating to their works and account.

The new system will also eventually let you decide how much info you want about the people that you're following. Some members will want to know every time one of the people they're following updates their location, relationship status, or photo. Others may only want to know when new stories are published by authors they are following.

Even though a lot of planned features will likely not be in the first few released versions, we have built the new Lit system with the expectation of a high level of user customization in the future.

I just saw a "favorite author" add on my Recent Activities list. Anyone else?

Unfortunately, I can't go back and see anyone else who favorite authored me in the past 3 weeks. : (

On second thought, I tried favoriting myself (for the favorite author) and I couldn't see anything on my profile. Weird, because I can see one person who favorited me as an author a few hours ago.

I hadn't been checking, but looked after seeing your post. I have been put on a few fav pages starting yesterday, so perhaps its been fixed.

As for faving yourself, I know you could in the past, but maybe they changed it for some reason?
