So I'm thinking of going to my first monthly Munch meeting and class ...

And I am soooo nervous. I'll be going alone. I need to find my place in the local D/s community, and hopefully, meet a Domme / Mistress who wants a relationship with a malesub. Does anyone have any "First Munch Meeting" stories they want to share? This is not a "play" meeting, but I'm not at all sure what to expect.

I attend a munch every single Tuesday evening. My local munch is filled with incredibly friendly kinksters covering the ages of 18 to 83. All are treated equally and respectfully.

W/we meet in a restaurant and every single Tuesday there are between 2 and 10 newbies in attendance. A general attendance would be 50 to 65 people. This is rare for most clubs.

My advice is to be friendly and approachable. Do not go to your first munch with an agenda. Spend lots of time and many meetings observing the interractions of the Dommes with other Dom/mes and submissives before deciding that one is better than another.

This is held in a conference room at a hotel "in the BIG city". I don't have "an agenda" or timetable, just an awareness of why I'm going.

I have no idea how big this community is ...

How about 3 nervous souls? I have e-mailed with the person that runs the munch closet to me ... unfortunately there is generally 4 people that attend ... sometimes the group can be as large as 7 or 8.

Initially I thought this would make me feel better but now I feel that it will only give them more time to notice how nervous I really am ...
