Someone had originally requested a femdom story (I looked for the original thread and can't find it), and I'm about to finish up and submit the first part of something along those lines.

My question: The story is more about power play and humiliation - should I still put it under BDSM? Can anyone suggest another category that might be better suited for this?

Also, I'm having a hell of a time thinking of a title. If anyone is good at that sortof thing, I would love some help.

um...you do realize that the d in BDSM is for domination, right? sounds like it's firmly within that category to me. i say submit it.

I do know what it stands for - it's just the stories in BDSM tend to be a bit too much about whips and chains, and so this one feels to me like it would be quite out of place.

IMHO, that just means that the category covers a broader spectrum than the submissions represent.

Power play "games" are a big part of BDSM for many within the community.

What sort of title ideas have you tried/rejected? Besides power play, what are a few more lil' details about the tale? :)

so real it made me twitch

The comments I've been getting are just the opposite.

They claimed a lack of realism because she takes him back. *shrugs* I don't think it's unrealistic to give someone a second chance...

i, of course, enjoyed it. :>

while it may be unrealistic to those who are in the life, it's not at all clear to me whether the couple portrayed are actually in the life or not.

Thanks silver and hallowedeve. :)

Now, I just need to stop obsessing over my rating, hehe.

you're welcome.

i'm curious, do you usually get feedback from someone(s) prior to submitting?

No, and it's probably something I should do - but I'm impatient. I don't want to wait for someone to edit it before I submit it.

Plus, it would take even more effort on my part, because I would have to find an editor.

yes, but if the trade off is immediate gratification/scoring, which wins out?
