But it comes and goes in waves.

First it was video games,
Then internet porn.
Then WOW,
Then my ex little girl,
Then for a short time, alcohol...
Then smoking...
Then Myspace...
Now?

Sex and The City...

I kid you not. I just sat down and watched the whole first season in one sitting.
And tomorrow after work, I'm going to go return the first season and rent the second. So on and so forth.

I LOVE this show.

I'm going to pretend I didn't read your post. Let's just go on with our lives like normal again, okay? We shall never, NEVER, speak of this again. :D

Yeah, and when I don't make eye contact? Nothing personal, 'kay?

Sex and the city, can you believe it? I saw this thread and I thought cookies, but he's got an addiction to sex and the city - just sick I tell you.

Send for a psychiatrist! Don't worry, lne_iii. Hang in there, buddy. We'll get your problem sorted in no time.

Just pulling your leg of course. I myself had an addition to Ally MacBeal at one time, so I'm feeling your pain. :)

It's a good thing you don’t live in Georgia. Here, if you are a registered Sex and The City offender you are not allowed to live within 1,000 ft. of a school bus stop.

I did the same thing. I saw all of it via Netflix.

I watched Ally McBeal also, in time I found that the more I watched it the more I wanted a sandwich.

Seriously?! Boston Legal is fucking great! So much so that I had to use an expletive in it's description!

Denny Crane is the coolest, though Alan kick ass too. :)

Actually I can't stand Everybody loves raymond. For one thing I can't stand raymond, and I like his wife even less. She takes every single chance she can get to tear her husband down. It's just typical of most shows these days - the men are pathetic morons, and the women are smart, pretty, and mean.

Welcome to 2006 :D

But yes, could tv BE more horrible?

Thank (insert someone to thank here) for reruns and DVD.

(Who still can't decide who's hotter...Carrie or Mr. Big...)

Have to say I can't tolerate that show either. As for American comedy, I don't think the women are so much smart as loud mouthed, mouthy and/or rude and think they are smart.

Neither one would be as kickass without the other, and you know it. :D

(But Shatner isn't as cute. :p )

Shatner is the reason I cannot watch that show.

Have never made any attempt to watch it because Shatner pisses me off more than anyone on the planet.

And, really, I don't know why.

Oh, great, a thread about TV shows none of which I've seen.
Oh, wait, I did see one episode of Ally McBeal. I found it boring and not worth staying up for as late as it ran. I might even have seen like 5 minutes of sex and the city. Don't remember, though.

Okay, you guys think your addiction is bad?

Mine is "Good Eats" on the Food Network. You know, that "Martha Stewart Living" meets "Beakman's World" show, where it's really good recipies and all the science behind why they work?

That show is so addictive I have 8 seasons of it on my computer. And for some reason, smart guys in glasses that are good cooks and hopelessly nerdy -really- turn me on. I would SO do Alton Brown. And twice on Sunday. (sundae? Muahahahaaa!)

...I'm pathetic.

West Wing, have it bad. Have first 5 years on DVD. Play them over and over. Need help.

Have now found Stargate SG-1. Am netflixing all the years to get caught up. Just now finished year 1 - have 8 more years to go.
Need help.

True enough. I guess I said they're smart cause they always prove to be right. The poor dumb guy does something stupid and his pretty obnoxious wife laughs at him, makes fun of him, and comes in at the last moment to save the day.

I detest 'comedy' that gets it's laughs from making fun of people and tearing them down.

The British have an art of doing it without it seeming to be offensive and obnxious, easy to laugh along with...US versions seem to have that nasty element in it which comes off as nasty, bitchy and vindictive...try as I do, I just can't put my finger on why there is such a vast difference, but it is there.

I've heard that, but their's only one british comedy that shows here in the states (if you don't have cable) and I didn't like it much. Granted I watched part of one show and I was 15. I should give it another chance. lol
