But it remains to be seen when my actual last day will be. Something about how our manager is on vacation for a week, and I guess no one else knows how to post the vacancy. Likely story. I feel kind of bad about doing it, 'cause the supervisor gave me the "deer in the headlights" look, but I gotta do what's right for me. Right?

Hubby comes home and tells me a bunch of stuff, and now I have a damn headache. Can't take anything for it because of the drinks I had earlier. :(

And Blurty's down. Damnit. :(

*sigh*

LOL I didn't know she was gone. As it is, I waited a week until the supervisor finished her vacation.

Fuck it. I'm taking some pills for this. It hurts too much not to.

TAKE CARE of YOURELF FIRST..
those HARD assed bastards just want to make a buck off you.
they'll find another number.
hope you got something lined up..

I'm thrilled about quitting. I've wanted to for a number of months, but due to one thing or another, I haven't been able to. I feel good knowing that soon I'll be free of that place. With a year left here, there are a lot of things I haven't had a chance to see. Now I can. :)

Give them two weeks notice then stop going. What are they going to do, fire you?

Last time I quit a job I gave 1 months notice and got lectured that same day about how it wasn't long enough. They still dicked around for 3 weeks then begged me to stay longer. I didn't, stick to your guns. I no none of your details but I'm sure you've put up with an incredible amount of crap since you've been there, so it's time for some of it to be heaped back on them.

Don't forget to visit me in London town! :)

Take that trip!

I was looking around for a likely vacation spot and found tickets to London from Newark, NJ for $184 RT. Go for it ($188 from DC).

Is there a 2 week notice clause....

In your contract with the soon to be former employer? If not, go see the HR folks and have them cut you a check. You decide when is your last day. Would they give you any notice if you were getting terminated? I think not.
I don't give my loyality to anyone who doesn't demonstrate it to me.

Good luck in your next endeavor! :D :rose:

Only one course of action remains....

ExLimey's right, give them a 2week notice then just quit. There's nothing they can do about that and they can't give you a bad recomendation for it either. It can only make you look better for another employer.

My brother was busting his ass for an employer - he always does, because that's how he is. He went in and asked for a raise. They told him they couldn't justify it based on his current production.

He got out some resumes and did some interviewing, and got an offer making about a third more, which he accepted.

He went in to his then-current supervisor to give notice. He was asked how much he was getting, and he told him. The supervisor offered to match the new offer.

My brother told the guy he should have done it when asked the first time. He served out his notice and never looked back.
