So I came here from ASSTR......

My writing partner and I have been posting stories on ASSTR for about a year. They're currently experiencing data crash, something, haven't been active for about two weeks. So I signed up here and submitted a couple of stories to post.
But most of our ASSTR stories include minors, and I didn't read the Literotica fine print before submitting.
I'd go back and edit the ages of my characters to 18 if I could get to em. Can I delete stories pending approval (which I know now they won't be) or what's the best way to proceed?
Thanks,
Persephone

If your edits are already you just hit the 'edit' button in the pending story section, you will get a warning that doing that starts the process over again, but that's what you want. You can then replace your story.

Welcome to Lit Persephone

Laurel the resident editor will automatically bounce them. You can send her a private message if you feel awkward about it. You're not the first to stumble on the rules after the fact.

Once she's rejected them you can resubmit with your changes.

I don't see why you'd go through a phase of having Laurel reject them. Rewrite them and submit them with "edit" behind the title. The submissions FAQs cover edits.

If - on the old member's page - the pending is still shown in BLUE - you can click on the pending and rewrite it but as has been said above the story will go back to the end of the queue for approval.

If the pending is shown as black or grey then it has already been considered and will change to 'accepted' or 'rejected' within about a day.

Their sever is old and has some unknown problem, though they suspect a dead fan. Because they apparently have nobody on the ground where the server actually is that can deal with it, they are saying it might be the beginning of Sept before they get their shit fixed.

But yeah, ASSTR is the wild west of internet erotica sites, with essentially no limits whatsoever. Lit it kind of up there in terms of what they won't allow, although I could name a site that's even more restrictive. I've had to restructure a couple of my stories for posting at Lit in the past.

Some of the story sites that aren't specifically erotica sites but do get used for posting erotica, seem to be a gray area. They don't have a lot of specific limits on content because they don't seem to have been expecting much porn stuff to be showing up.

Welcome to the club.
I didn't find Lit through or from ASSTR but I have much stuff there. They have been down for a long time, not just a couple of months. I tend to take my old stuff in ASSTR and edit it, much of that is now in Lit. but I've known the wrath of Lit, can't believe it's just one person Laurel, but am learning fast.

Did you mean server or sewer? ATRSS is sort of the cloaca of the InterWebz.
To be fair, literotica's equipment and site also scream 1995 to me. So it's not like Lit is very advanced either.

Methinks Hypoxia is referring to content, not technology...
Content can ever be judged in the context of audience. I hate "Saw" movies, think they are bile-worthy. Some people love them.

Just because Hypoxia doesn't apreciate the content of some other site - doesn't make the said site bad.

It was a cool site, but they didn't stay with the times. Even when when stories work, the search engine is flaky.

Lit seems to have good stable equipment with little interruption of service. The old code is a Hodge podge of codes written by a number of people who are no longer around or in some cases alive. They are in the process of upgrade everything so hang in there. The ride gets bumpy ever so often as alpha and beta testing take place.

I appreciated ASSTR a couple of decades back. But execrable stories abound there, at least they did last time I looked. Cloaca: where the shit piles up.

There were some good stories there that I had bookmarked at one time. Something happened and they didn't work for quite a while and the search system sucked. I would have liked to see them here.

One was something like 'Surrendering Sara' where the wife was taken over by a biker gang for their club toy. She had all kinds of enhancements, tits, waist, hair, lips, etc. and they nicknamed her 'Barbie'

It was too long and had some brutal spots but overall it was OK.
