Nanya 128MB PC133/100 SDRAM DIMM

And when it finally came I open the box and the ram says on it PC133. Hrmm ok, no big deal it should work right after all what I bought had 133/100 . SO with Wanderer D on the other end of my speaker phone listening to me cuss and bitch about the damn screws in my CPU (I gotta remove the power source in order to get to my RAM slots) I managed to get the new RAM in and so on. Ok two fucking hours on the god damn phone, the piece of shit wasn't working! No matter how many times I tried to move it around it wouldn't work. It got as bad as to the fact where my CPU was only reading 64 MB once! Finally we decided the new RAM does not work (Duh, like I said it said 133). Once we were able to get my CPU back to reading the 256 MB of RAMM I had before, we finally got off the phone.

Anyways, I have been trying and trying to get a hold of this company to let them know what they sent ain't working. The phone has been busy with every call....
I go to the web site and it says all things are non returnable, fuck me! It even says if you do return something you have to pay for it to be returned AND they don't guarantee they will refund it. Fuck me again! So I'm majorly pissed here, I can't get a hold of the company and I'm not going to pay to ship back the RAMM I got (Even though its the wrong one) Only to have them still not refund me.
Anyways Bitch Bitch Bitch Bitch......

had just the same thing happen to me but luckily I had a friend who needed the very thing I'd got so I sold it to hom for what it had cost me, try the free ad's papers and see if anyone need's a good ramming :D

The 133/100 implies that it's 133 MHz SDRAM. In most cases, 133 RAM will operate at 100 MHz.

There are other technical considerations involved. I've also heard some horror stories about mixing brands of RAM; two DIMMs each of which work separately won't work together.

The resell option sounds like you best bet. Good luck.

Anyone know where I can get some cheaper Ram, I found it for 21 dollars but the damn shiping makes me pay twice that amount!

I tried running on just the new ram and it wouldn't even read it...I couldn't even start up. So its the new Ram thats faulty and wont work.

PH, if that comment was meant for me, fuck you! :D And here I thought we were being civil to each other finally.

Humor, ar, ar.

It was meant for OUTSIDER, obviously.

Is there something in your mouth we should be concerned about?

I can't figure out what it cost. $21 for how much RAM. Anyway, try this link. It's where I buy RAM in San Diego. They take phone orders and credit card payments. I don't know about shipping since I pick it up locally.

The first link is a price list. Scroll down to memory and browse until you find what you need. This list has prices updated pretty much daily.

Check you manual to be sure you're ordering the right type of DIMM. As a last resort, contact the computer tech support people. They should be able to help you determine the correct type based on the mainboard in your system

The second link is their home page with phone numbers and other info.

Good lick [make that luck!] in your quest. And since you're not in CA, you are exempt from the 7.5% sales tax we suffer. And the thugs in Sacramento want to raise that another 1%.

The fact that the new RAM doesn't work may merely mean it's not compatible with you motherboard. That's why I suggest you check the book or with your computer's tech support people to be sure you are ordering what is compatible.

They should also be able to tell you if there are any other consideration like jumper changes, etc. For RAM, that would be unusual but not unheardof.

Nope just flash backs of that dream I had where I was fucking you,PC, Rick and Chef. :D

Thanks Uncle Bill! :) I'll look it over. And my comp is kinda screwy anyways slot 3 is where slot 1 should be on my board! :p

Come to think of it, Where is the RAM i ordered a month ago?

It will work if it ever gets here. it cost enough, But if it doesn't work they will send me more free and pay postage and warranty my computer if it screws it up. The bad part is it cost about four times what you paid Mistress.

HA!

My RAM shipped on the eigth, Second day delivery and its not here yet. That means Monday.

Here in the UK we have a very healthy "computer fairs" scene going and you can get all the parts to build a PC for a fraction the price it cost's to buy a pre-built one from a "name" company.

We're at 8%. Don't complain.

(Course, clothes only catch 4%)

another place to check out

Another place to check out prices is www.pricewatch.com. Best brands seem to be Viking, Micron, Kingston, Corsair, or Crucial.

Also is your system a home built or premade? some manufacturers are not very compatible with a lot of brands of memmory out there.

A good rule I use is if u can hardly pronouce the name dont buy it. Its probably a store brand or real cheap brand and can be kind of flaky. Oh and ive seen a lot of problems with PNY memmory so might be careful of those.

BEST RAM=CRUCIAL!!!

Alrighty, FIRST off....they SHIP FOR FREE!!!!! ALso, its REAAALLLY cheap and REAALLLY good, performance wise. I ordered a stick of 256 PC100 for my IBM Shitpad 1400-482 series for ONLY $50....it took a day or two more to come as i recall....but then again, i had the misfortune to order it EXACTLY so that it came on Sept 11th!!! SO of couse it didnt come too much on time!!! None the less, Crucial ALSO gives you a UPS ground shipping TRACKING number, so you can look up where your RAM is anytime you want!
I'd HIGHLY reccomend them to everyone!
;-)
