Republicans have no morals. I predict 7. But the great news...they will eat themselves resulting in a split of the Party

5. Most of these have already indicated they will and why, and have been criticized by some of their Republican counterparts - both those who put party above all else and the whackadoodle conspiracy nutjobs - for siding with the evil Democrats.

Not enough, its sad to think one person has that much power. l wonder what's going to happen when Donald goes to jail or get's murdered which l think the second option will happen before the first.

Nobody would ever want to be known as the person who murdered Donald Trump. It’s more likely that he will commit suicide.

It doesn’t matter. He’s well on the way to being totally irrelevant. Seven or eight.

That will only happen if, somehow posthumously, he could point out how great his suicide was, possibly the greatest ever. His ‘note’ could mention how a few generals and some people, seeing him after killing himself, said it was a tremendous suicide. Better than any impeached president before.

.
A solid 6........

Well, as solid as spineless jellyfish can be anyway.

After seeing the move made by Nikki Haley today, I am now going to guess that 10 Republicans will vote to convict. I think things changed today.

The ship is leaving the port, and how many Deplorables will be left on shore to commiserate and share tears with the idiotic ProudBoBos of this world? I don't know, exactly, but the good news is even if the Republicans once again close ranks to defend the most toxic President in American history, the split in the Republican Party will grow into a chasm.

So, if twice impeached former president Trump is acquitted by the senate and found not guilty of inciting an insurrection what happens to the insurrectionists/rioters defence that they were following the instructions of the president?

Surely if Trump is acquitted then that defence is closed off to them and the courts can disregard it? They acted solely of their own volition and as such must take the full consequences.

Talk about being thrown under the bus.

Maybe 5. I initially thought that some of the oldsters not standing for re-election next time might remember their oath, but it seems unlikely.

6. there are no spines and no balls in the current repubican party. he'll get off, the party will spend the next few years bemoaning their fate, nothing will be accomplished. trump (or surrogate) 2024.

Trump's refusal to call off the coup attempt led to a shouting match between House Minority leader and himself....how can any Republican not vote to impeach? No morals. They do not believe in the Constitution. They are all Fascist traitors. It is impossible to work with Fascist traitors. Move on. Time to cut the cancer out of this country. Time to pass a Constitutional Amendment allowing states to leave

Too many fucking cowards amomg them. They love talking about strict interpretation of the Constitution until its time to actually use it.

He wasn't in charge of any coup attempt.

There wasn't even a coup attempt.

You're insane. :D

I'll stick with 5/6 I posted elsewhere ,the 6 is Cassidy who may not vote for conviction .
I don't think there is a chance in hell of reaching the magic 17 ,but will be extremely happy if proved wrong .

Oh, there was a coup attempt. The idiot leaders of that riot were living in a fantasy world where they actually believed their internet talk about civil war.

The problem with it was that the insurrectionists were nothing but a bunch of internet mental masturbators like you.

So yeah, you can mock their pathetic failure. You know all about that. And good luck with your prophesies about splitting up the Union and Trump returning to dominate politics in 2024.

Not enough. At least the Dems are doing the right thing here. This problem.remains a solidly REPUBLICAN one.

Would things change if the voting was secret?

Just about across the board, reporters are saying via their sources, that 90% of Repubs would vote to impeach in an anonymous vote.

We have significant problems here!

Without a doubt.

The establishment (R)'s fuckin' hate Trump too....they might as well be Democrats.

Hell the fact that they are Democrats is part of the reason Trump got sent there in the first place.

But they don't want to lose their jobs.

It ain't fuckin' 90%.....that's delusional leftist bullshit.

It's well under 50%, establishment goons in the GOP are not the majority like they are in the DNC. The populist faction is the majority...that's why the (R)'s are so scared of it.

The beauty of the thing is the the Repubican't Party is screwed either way. trump is liability they can't get rid of. He has his fingers in the RNC's money now.
