Computer drawings are extreamly difficult when doing it free hand as these are done. Grid design is too easy, so I just to this. but I am really just a humble watercolor painter. I do people a lot, but started doing landscapes and got away from it too much. I am going to do a full sized piece for a wonderful man I love and care about very much... as soon as I get the cash to by a frame.

Here is the large version.

It looks better as an avatar. I don't know whether it's because of the lossy nature of the JPG format, or because it's the way you drew it, but the larger version looks blurry and distorted along some of the lines of the arm and crotch.

Those blurry parts aren't as obvious in the avatar sized version.


It's still about 10,000 times better than I could do from scratch even with pencil and paper.

Yes, Harold, the bitmap version that Laurel will get is much clearer. JPG is smaller bits so I used that to make it so I could post it.


Okay, Never, really I do have more than that smart assed collection of comments I made about it.

tone.....dappled colors chosen to give no starkness to the dark, solid lines chosen to the left of the figure in order to give a sence of balance, yet maintain the most important basic rules of composition.

The picture is about the dimness of some lust over a need for love many women experiance, and that in women, I find that masturbation is a completely different concept than in men. However, lust is an integral part of the human psyche and I am conveying the idea that women have been ashamed of themselves for long enough, and although that it may feel dark, one must learn of all aspects of themselves in order to gain whole knowledge, and repressed sexuality is no way to gain that. This just says.... it may look dark, dirty or wrong, because you get shown that in society, but it is something worth the knowing of, to get in touch with ones self, and get over all of the inhibitions put on us by others.

I don't try to convey set feeling in my serious work. It will just happen if my point comes across. I expect that feelings in a viewer will come, to be as varied as the opinions of one individual from another.


Where feeling is concerned in my landscapes, that is a whole different story.

This is far better than anything i could even dream of doing.

That said, the amber/burnt umber colored shading at the top left of her pelvic V is off. The color doesn't belong there or it's too obvious or something. As WH said, that's only in the larger pic. The av-sized one is **good**.

Also, why the color change on the fabric beneath her? Her hair gets lost in the darker color. Deliberate?

Also, there's a splotch of blue between her arm and body, the arm she's holding against her crotch. Again, deliberate?

You're quite talented.
I'm *way* impressed.

It's very nice. Fits well with the "Exotic" part of your title and is very nicely drawn. I agree with WH that it does look better in Avatar format. But it is in Avatar format. So it looks all good to me.

I will give you my opinion if you want it Gretchen.


It is a very sensual painting,indicitive of a mosaic on a greek vase,to me it evokes the idea of a woman embraceing her own sexuality in a settting of her chooseing,with a beauty all it's own.


I could say more......but the rest of you would probaly be lost on the meaning.

I suggest that Dillinger should comment,he is far more eloquent.
