I was turned on to the site by a friend who mentioned something about providing feedback on my first story but I don't know how to view it. I've requested help from the site but still haven't got a clue. Anyone know where to view anonymous feedback on my story

First make sure when you submitted your story that you allowed for comments. Check your status bar of the story where it says "Public comment Board"- it should say "yes"

Log in to your author account and then click submissions in the left column and click recent activity or click view and moderate public comments. You should see everything that you have. If the number for public comments is zero then you don't have any.

Also check your email account that you listed when you signed up as that is where comments will be sent.

Good luck and feel free to PM me if you need any more help.

Welcome aboard. I find the communications here between readers and writers and writers with writers is truly incredible here.

Whatever feedback to a story of yours should be at one of four points. First, direct comment on a story is appended to the end of the posted stories. Second, if you were able to submit a story, you know how to get to your personal submission page. Under the menu marked "Submissions," you can bring up comments that were directly appended to your story (as well as any instances of readers registering either your story or you as an author as a favorite) going back 30 days. Above that button is one that will take you to your full listing with the updated reader ratings on it--you can also bring up comments made a story on that listing.

The commenter may have not gone this route but may have PMd or e-mailed you directly. If e-mailed, it dropped into your e-mail account; if PMd, you can find it from yur "Private Messages" menu at the top right of this page.

Then, rarely, a reader might only have commented on your story by posting to the Story Feedback section of this forum.

I read and left a comment on your story. I think I am the first so that may be why you haven't found any yet. You also have your PM function turned off here so you might want to change that if you do want us to get in touch with you! Good luck.

Or you can apply for a LITEROTICA AFFIRMATIVE ACTION AWARD if youre a person of color, suffer from sexual identity disorder, carry a current socialist party membership card, and never use a plot in your writing.

Or, like most of us, you can use the ignore function for jamesbjohnson who is one of the resident trolls that troll spray doesn't work on.

Jaded,

You should be able to view any feedback when you pull up your Member Submissions...or look yourself up when you search "Members Stories" I believe it is called...PM me if that doesn't work.

I think another member posted that they left you a comment, but here's the link to your posted story and one feedback/comment already:

just a thanks....a little late but haven't been around much

Wanted to thank everyone for their feeback. good or bad. I don't take offense to comments posted with no serious thought put behind them, nor do i take offense to negative feedback. Every writer has a style and every reader has a preference. I'm ok with all feedback regardless of the content. I take it on a case by case basis. Most of my stories to this point are derived from dreams i've had. some far fetched but still struck a spark of curiosity in me. No I'm not a novelist, and when I post dreams that I've had, really don't have much more than what went on. Sure I could elaborate and draw a longer story from them, and maybe one day i will.
