matty, you're on the bdsm boardsMatthew Craig said:You call yourself a sub but you're a cold hearted bitch in disguise. A bit hipocritic if you ask me.
Joe Schmoe said:Wimpy?
I am guessing you are either not involved in the lifestyle or new to it because you would know that wimpy is not even remotely close to what a sub is.
Between a dominant and a submissive, I say and firmly believe, subs are, by far, the stronger. Why? Simple. It takes a lot of strength to submit to another. I could never do it, I am not that strong.

Disregarding players, who just role play for a fun night makin' whoopie, and masochists, (yes, I know that submission and masochist aren't mutually inclusive or exclusive of each other) the majority of people who acknowledge their submission and act on it have brass balls.
A male sub is going against several hundred years of tradition and conditioning, as well as genetic memory. I've always felt that while submission is a choice, there is a genetic disposition toward dominance. Over time, the dominant male has evolved because the submissive males failed to compete effectively. In my mind, this is not a physical characteristic, but a mental/emotional one. So you can have a big brawny sub like Bronn, or a smaller, less physically intimidating Dominant like ciara's dad. But her dad's not a physical wimp, just not as big and tough looking as bronn is. His aura of quiet confidence though, has subs flocking to him like flies to honey whenever they're at a bdsm function. It takes balls to stand up to centuries of evolution as well as a very macho society.
Femsubs are just as brave. I don't think the genetic disposition toward submission plays as strongly into her makeup as the dominance gene does for men. This is because even in cultures where women are submissive, there is a definite hierarchy to the women. Each has a place in the community, and each is striving to maintain her place. Some of course, strive to climb in the social structure of the pack. But a lot of femsubs in my generation are the children (or even grandchildren, in some cases) of the feminist movement. These women face censure from society for choosing to follow their heart's lead into a life of submission, and then a lot of femsubs are demanding their due as human beings in society too. So even as the feminist archetype condemns her for being a submissive and dragging the movement back 50 years, the macho society is also condemning her for demanding the respect in society that she is due. You can be a submissive feminist CEO, but to face that sort of conflict and have the balls to follow through is breath-taking. It makes me love them even more. I love playing with the malesubs, and have considered having a relationship with one or two special boys. But the ones I truly love, the ones who take my breath away are the femsubs, who struggle so hard to be accepted.
