We had to raise the price of gasoline by 35 cents a gallon because a non existent refinery blew up and we lost too much production...

We had to raise the price of gasoline by 35 cents a gallon because a non existent refinery blew up and we lost too much production...this has happened twice in my area in the last two years...funny thing was, first time, it happened to be the weekend of the 4th of July... the second, the weekend before Labor day...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Oh, and another one...our refineries just can not produce the volume gasoline needed to supply the overwhelming demand for it....ok great, EVER THOUGHT OF BUILDING MORE REFINERIES, or EXPANDING EXISTING ONES?
Sorry about the hollering folks, but this is a subject that burns me up...seems like the Oil companies think that the average joe is not too bright

StondTmplPilot,
What you wrote is so very true. I live in Northeast Ohio and for a few weeks, the price of gas in our area was exorbitant - the prices were some of the highest in the country.
What really gets me angry is that when something happens to cause the price of gas to rise, why does the supply that's already at the gas station need to go up at that very same time? What happened doesn't affect the suppy they already have. It would be the supply that comes from that major catastrophe, wouldn't it?

It's nice to make your acquaintance Enchanted, *chuckles* even if you are from Ohio
Enchanted, Nice to meet you. You seem like a wonderful person.
