i have a friend who wants to set me up with someone apparently. Unfortunately, the somebody happens to be another man. I'm not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, I don't find the idea of being with a man repulsive. On the other hand, it's still women I'm predominanttly attracted to. It's beautiful women on TV and in movies who make me sigh with longing, not men. I've been alone for so long though if anybody found me attractive I'd be immensely flattered.

:( *sigh*

Sometimes it is helpful just to statr somewhere and begin the journey outward.
We get so hung up in "is this the one?"
If it is not a preference, you have every right to decline
But you also don't have to make a commitment on a first date
Though many seem to

Commitment on the first date is not my style. I was raised to be careful. Still, my eye is towards marriage, not fucking around.

You're very young to be looking to marriage

Start with going to the movies

You're always too young to be looking at marriage. At the rate we're going I might be able to get married by the time I'm 45 and had my first heart attack.

Well, you'll be more mature and learned you can survive difficult situations. You'll be a good catch.
