Snow? Where the hell do you live? It's been cooler than normal the last week or so, and even expect enough of a frost to kill some tender plants tonight. But snow? God, I hope not!

I just saw the weather for the next week. Nice and sunny during the days...upper 30s during the nights. And, no snow. After all, it's only October. ;)

I live in the woods...well in the woods in the mountains in PA :cathappy: and its supposed to snow 7 inches overnight...how disgusting is that?

No snow in Memphis, but it's been chilly, grey and windy all day. My apartment building has old fashioned radiator heat and right n ow I'm listening to the vent thingies whistle just a bit as the boiler in the basement heats up; the radiator in the living room is going "Ping!" "Knock!" every so often. I think after I do my writing for the evening I'll bake cookies...

Exceptionally disgusting! God I am dreading snow. I fully expect it here by Halloween though. We usually have our first snow by then but it won't stick until sometime in november normally.

7 inches huh??? YUCK!

does it snow there?

Occasionally we'll get 1/4 inch. But it's normally gone by morning. And unlike other places that go without snow all year we also don't get too hot during the summer. Normally it's about 40-50 during the winter. Sometimes it gets to freezing, but that's rare. I mean REALLY rare. No one ever worries about their outside pipes it's so rare. And during the summer it rarely gets over 90 degrees. 95 at max.

PLUS the mosquitos here are itty bitty, andyou gotta be near a river or lake for it to be an issue. You can only get a tick if you are hiking in the forest (and that almost never happens), and their are no poisounous snakes. Only Garter Snakes. Their are only two poisonous spiders and they're reclusive, and roaches are the size of the end of a needle. And they don't fly.

Plus we're in driving distance of any climate you want. If you want snow (god knows why) you can drive to the mountain (about an hour), if you want the desert go over the mountains (about 2 hour), and the coast is a minimum of an hour and a half away.

Oh, yeah, and we don't get hurricanes. :nana: Or tornados. :nana::nana:

Oatmeal peanutbutter (trust me- verry yummy) with peanutbutter chips.

Of course I have to finish this expository on Ulrich Zel (? - 1502); his influence on the world of printing 1463-1502; and Cologne, Germany/the Univeristy there during the same time period and *its* influence on early incunables before I can bake a thing. ;)

My radiators have finally stopped clunking and hissing at me. Toasty little suckers...

I've never really lived in a place where it snowed often enough to say much, but I hate the cold. I think the only reason for the weather to be cold is for snow. We've always got spare beds here in Hawaii! Granted the tropical storms can be wet and once you live here long enough 70degF feels freezing I really don't have too many complaints about the weather.

Your cookies sound very yummy!!! I've been craving a good peanut butter cookie lately. I love a good oatmeal cookie too.

You got snow already? We haven't even got snow yet. There's word around here that's gonna be a Green Hallowe'en! I have never seen a Hallowe'en where you could still see the grass!

Brr!

I just want to curl up and keep warm, then snuggle to get warmer!

I do not like the cold weather, cold dildos are another matter.

Hmmmm....let's see...it's 7 o'clock at night...72 degrees...nope no snow here. <sigh> I miss snow. Hell, I miss SEASONS!

I'm looking forward to some more cold. Sitting inside with candles, tea and cookies is more fun when it's really icky outside.
We don't get any snow though... :(

I'll trade you. It's fall here in all it's glory. The leaves are changing colors and sooooooo pretty but it's cold and likely it will snow before the end of the month.

I can't feel too sorry for you, first week of Oct we got 20-some inches. 80% of the trees in my town are busted in half because they were still in leaf and the snow was really heavy...broke them clean in half. It's depressing driving around town. ND has few trees as it is, so seeing all the trees the city planted all cracked and broken is sad :(

It all melted withen a few days. Very freaky storm.
