In my youth I had so many girlfriends that smoked, and who lit up after sex, that I got conditioned to the point that I too craved a cigarette after sex. I didn't smoke at any other time but a cigarette sure tasted good after a good fuck. (I was a distance runner, I respected my lungs too much to get a smoking habit.)

Often, I'd just want to take a few drags off of her smoke, and there was something intimate about sharing it, but sometimes she'd say, "This is mine. Here...have your own." (One eventually told me to buy my own.)

Beyond that, I've always preferred that my girlfriend or SO not smoke and it eventually became a disqualification for dating consideration. Now, with all we know about the habit, and all of the science, I can't believe people still get started. It's become a huge turnoff for me and I don't even want to be around it.

I love the sight of sexy young women smoking, it really adds to their "bad girl" image, which really does it for me. Luckily in my area it still seems really common for young women to smoke as a social thing, especially outside bars and nightclubs.

I can date a girl who smokes - it's not a deal breaker. But if I were to choose - I would go with no cigarettes in my life, no matter by whom.
 
To me smoking is the biggest turn-ff there is, and very few things turn me off.
