Smoking Can Make Your Dick Not Work

Just a thought after reading that smoking thread. All those young men gleeful in their cigs, yet would you be so deliriously happy if your cock didn't inflate? And no, Viagra won't necessarily help the situation.

One US study of men between the ages of 31 and 49 showed a 50% increase in the risk of impotence among smokers compared with men who had never smoked.

So if you had to choose, which would you rather have, a functioning cock or your smokes?

I've smoked for almost 30 years. Old one eyed willy still works just fine, thank you!;)

If you use powertools you stand a chance of damaging your dick so it wont work. Also if you die in an auto accident your dick wont work anymore.

So what

Impotence is a funny thing. It's not like a heart attack or lung cancer, it just strikes when you're counting on it to work.

Smoke up!

The advantage is in knowing a girl who smokes... all that oral fixation centered on your cock will make it 'function' again in no time. ;)

Given the fact that I do not have a dick - I am delighted.

I suppose you will now say that my clit will lose all sensitivity and drop off...<sigh> - the anti smoking propaganda league strikes again...

So smoking stops your dick working? So do beta blockers, stress and Mrs Bobbit!

I'm not a smoker, but I like a cigarette every few months or so and I think the hysteria has gone too far.

I think smokers should have the right to smoke in public, bars, restaurants, open air stadiums, etc...

However, I know from my work and field that there is a HUGE corollary between smoking and impotency. Now no one here on Literotica would admit to a limp dick (kinda hurts the sex appeal / fantasy thing for the chicas), but the #1 cause of impotency among smokers is smoking.

Smoking can cause arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) in long term use. Those lovely blood vessels in your penis are super fine and will respond to the hardening by not egorging and filling (hardening).

This isn't hysteria, it's straight up fact. Drop by any of your men's health centers / uro doc. and see if he doesn't agree: Smoking makes you a soft flag pole. Maybe not today, but it can (50%) in the future.

But if you're cool with that. I'm cool with it too.:)

BTW--Smoking decreases female fertility in almost all studies by 25% or so. Do with that what you will.

Smoking CAN cause impotency.....doesn't mean it WILL. These statistics you see are set up exactly the way the people who create them want you to see them. It's all misleading. If you know anything about statistics, you'll know that they're never accurate. Take for example this impotency stat.......they probably rounded up X amount of men who smoke, and made sure that X amount of them were impotent. Thus changing the actual values of the stats.

This is one of the most poorly-reasoned posts I've seen on lit (and that's saying a lot). Smoking need not cause impotence in each and every case for us to deem it to be a health risk, just as Russian Roulette need not result in a bullet in a person's head 100% of the time he pulls the trigger, but who would argue that Russian Roulette isn't an incredibly self-destructive act? We can't predict who will and who won't suffer the health risks of tobacco so we make the broad generalization that in general, people will be healthier if they don't smoke than if they do.

This ought to be obvious, but the power of human rationalization is amazing and never ceases to amaze me. What do physicians have to gain by fabricating a huge pile of data against a product that most people seem to enjoy using. Do they have some sort of irrational hatred for tobacco or tobacco farmers? Why make this up?

Folks, listen to Marxist. He speaks the truth.

Reason is simple.....in misleading you with thier statistics, they "seem" to be putting the reasearch money into something valuable. What you don't see is the conspiracy that goes on behind closed doors. And this is a fact by the way. Ask any doctor that you are close with....they do thier part to "try" and discourage smoking so they can say they at least tried. Meanwhile, the government collects billions in taxes, and it all seems perfectly fine to the unwitting smoker. Read between the lines.....it's ALL politics.

The only Doctors who love us smokers are the Vascular Surgeons, and Cardiac Doctors. They tell me all the time to just keep lighting up, it helps to pay for their yacht.

LOL! Dude, I'm going to be an MD in 3 months. I see patients every day. You're talking bullshit. If you believe this you're lying to yourself.

I advocate smoking cessation because there is a mountain of valid data to support it and because I help treat people with all manner of smoking-related medical illnesses (COPD, emphysema, lung cancer, heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, various other cancers, etc.) I see it every day.

You don't happen to be a smoker, do you? ;)

Oh good Lord, everything's a big ol' conspiracy to you.

If it was a conspiracy the doctors would tell you smoking was harmless and get rich treating your rapidly deteriorating health knowing you'll be right back in his office with either the same pain or a new one he/she could recommend hyper expensive treatments for. So what are they getting out of this? Most scams are supposed to make money for the scammer.

I don't blame the govt. one iota for cashing in on the national addiction to smoking.

People are not going to stop smoking if they don't want to..I don't care how many "Truth" ads are made or Surgeon General's warnings are put out.

LOL You go right ahead and become a doctor.....just remember how many have had or will have malpractice suits.....which means what? THEY'RE WRONG LOL

Oh yeah, and we all know that people never file frivilous lawsuits. All people are honest, upright, morally strong citizens who never think about lying to get free money.

Your reasoning's not getting any better

The fact that there is such of thing as malpractice is based on the assumption that there is some substantial and beneficial standard of care provided to the patient to begin with. In other words, there couldn't be such a thing as malpractice if doctors weren't recognized as generally providing good care in the first place.

Secondly, malpractice suits don't mean malpractice. I know you're not to swift with statistics so I won't burden you with numbers, but suffice it to say that most malpractice suits that are filed are groundless.

I'm willing to take my chances. :)

Thank you Dr. Clozoff. Smoking is bad, m'kay!

I am on the side of the good Dr. on this matter.

If you smoke, you risk, and that is it.

I quit. I feel much better knowing that I will now probably die from the paint I use for watercolor.

LOL.

Up until 1995 I use to have an '86 300zx and man that thing ran like a scalded dog. Or so I thought.

I took it to the local Nissan dealer and he asked me if I'd like to get my injectors replaced (mine were fine but there was a general recall do to the possiblity of fire).

I got my injectors replaced and the difference was frightening. Increased flow and acceleration and performance out the ass!!

What I'm saying is that you might not remember what a raging hard-on looks like (circa 18 y/o) due to the slow deterioratation of artery hardening. Just because your dick works (like my old car) doesn't mean it's in top shape.
