And there ain't nuffin' like it.

Freshly mown grass, newly bloomed roses, honeysuckle brushing against my arms as I walk past, washing on the line, the sea, ozone, dog poo on the patio... In an English country gar-ar-den.

I think I just had a flashback.

When I read your post, I thought it said "garderrobe" when I read it really quickly.

*sigh*

PMSL!!!!

Damn, Lou, that coffee was supposed to wake ME up, not decorate the monitor and keyboard!

Ahhh yes Summer time. 88° today with the smell of rotting vegetation. The wonderfull sound of screaming kids and thumping Boom Boxes. Then noon hits and the skys open up with a rumble of thunder and flash of lightening. The air is cooled to an agreeable 80°. All of the kids are hiding inside so the only sound is the water dripping off the Palm ronds onto the umbrella over my head as I sit outside writing. The air is cleaned and I can smell the Plumeria wafting in from just outside my gate. Yes I do love summer.

Now tomorrow should be amusing. I just saw they are talking about the possibility of the first named storm in the Atlantic. I may have to go visit Home Depot and watch the people freaking out.

Go and hide all the bottled water and batteries. :D

LOL
You're almost as evil as I am. I was thinking about hiding the Plywood and Screws.

was getting out of my car last night after bringing eldest home and had to stop to inhale the smell of the summer air. it was 90 here yesterday and the air was kinda still...only errant puffs of wind brought with it the smell of tangy salt from the ocean. that has the power to stop me in my tracks...
agreed, i love the smell of summer

LAst night was lovely I wish the husband had been here for it. I laid back on the hood of a friend's car and stared at the stars. Looking for constelations and smelling the air which miraculously didn't smell like cow. I listened to crickets and just laid there at perfect peace. Midnight on an air force base is heaven in the summer.

Summer air. * sigh *

Last night the temperature dropped to 0C°!!! Freezing point in the summer??? WTF.
It should be around 20C° during the daytime, and not slowly climbing back up to a lousy 15C°.
I had to go digging for a sweater and socks, jeez!

Summer - ya ya - LOL, birds chirping at 5am, squirrels trying to get into your house, pidgeons shitting on your patio furniture, driving tan - which means Brazzilian on one side, and Brit on the other ... I LOVE IT- DESPITE - LOL ;)

Exactly. Morning lows here hit -1°C, tomorrow morning temperatures are forecast for -2°C to 5°C.

What frigging summer?

Oh, daytime highs 13°C to 18°C by the way.
