OOC: Basically, this is a srp of the hit tv shopw, smallville. I'm looking for 2 girls to be Lana and Chloe and anyone else that would like to join. So, here we go.

~Clark was hanging outside infront of the school. The bell had released all the kids and since this was his last year at highschool, he was looking for his friends. Clark seemed like your average, ordinary kid who kept alot of secrets. But really, he was the man that could do everything impossible.

Clark had always been in love with Lana and once or twice, he thought she had the same feelings for him. He also knew Chloe had a crush on him. Chloe was his friend and he didn't want to hurt her so, he wanted to just be friends. But did she? He didn't know.

Clark sat on the railing, watching as some of the football players ran out to the football field. Two juniors holding hands and kissing as they went to there car. It made him jealous and he wanted to be with someone but at the same time, he didn't want to hurt them~

{bump, I really do not wqant this to die, I know it has potential}

Interested

Hey people.
I'm a new guy.

I'm interested in participating.
I'll be Pete.

sure, if you'd like, you can start posting right, whenever you want to start pete!

OOC:
All right. This is a first for me so please bear with me.

IC:
Pete walked through the front doors of Smallville high looking for his friends. It took him only a second to spot Clark lounging on the banister at the front steps. The slight slump in the farmboy's body and the perpetual stormcloud hanging over his head (figuratively speaking) was a clear give-away. The guy allways seemed to have the weight of the world on his shoulders. Or, he could be on one of his angsty mental "I'm-so-in-love-with-Lana-but-I-just-can't-tell-her-and-I-don't-want-to-hurt-Chloe's-feelings" blues trips. Again!
Rolling his eyes, Pete walked up behind Clark and was just about to try and get his attention when he saw what Clark was looking at.
The two juniors looked adorable, in a sacharine sweet and mushy way, and Pete couldn't help but grin.

"Great! The blues trip it is!" Pete thought to himself. "Revert to plan B." This was probably going to be torture.

"Hey Man! What's up?" Pete called as he got closer to Clark.

"I don't think you need more sun, dude!" he chuckled with a grin. "Leave some rays for the rest of us pale folks."

He was pretty sure the joke would be lost on Clark but at least the confusion his statement caused might bring Clark out of his stupor. And if it did, then phase one of "Plan B" could be concidered a success.

OOC: Kinda lame for a begining, but hey, For a first timer I think it's OK. :D

OOC: Don't worry, everyone started somewhere

~Clark looked back behind him and spotted his african american friend, Pete. He and Pete had been friends since they were both children. Luckly, at the time, he didn't have any pwoers or else Pete might have been alittle different or dead.

A couple months ago, he had told Pete about his powers. It had been an accident on the event but he had to come out and tell him. Pete, himself and his parents only knew about his powers. He wanted to tell people but he couldn't. His hair shifted as he shook his head~

Hey Pete, don't worry, there's enough for everyone. It's about time school let out, today actually seemed to go slow

~he joked, he liked things fast~

Pete grinned at his friend's joke.

"Really?" His grin got wider.

"Any slower then you getting in touch with your courage and actually doing something about your over the top infactuation with a certain dark-haired female 'Talon' manager?"

He cocked an eyebrow as if expecting an answer before continuing.

"You can't stalk her forever bro. Sooner or later you're going to have to make your move."

He paused for dramatics before continuing with a shrug of his shoulders.

"Or she's going to start looking in greener pastiers."

He grinned at his own joke and added sarcasticly, "No pun intended, of course."

Trying to smother Clark's excuse before he could start Pete let loose an "Oh!" like he'd just remembered something only in a voice way too loud. He then proceded to look around exageratedly. When he spoke again his voice was back at its previous volume.

"Speaking of the fairer sex, have you seen our favourite ladies today?"

No I haven't, Chloe wasn't here first hour, I expected she'd come in late but I haven't seen her yet.

~he shrugged. He did want to see her for there were question he wanted to ask her about Lex. He still didn't trust him after his last excappade~

OOC: We need a Chloe and Lana, bad!

Chloe

She walked through the door of Smallville high later than normal. She noticed Pete and Clark, smiled and nodded before heading to the Newspaper room. She was late due to staying up late to make a deadline and having a crappy alarm. "I hope Clark doesn't give me the 'You need to be in school' speech again cause thats all I need right now.

"No I haven't, Chloe wasn't here first hour, I expected she'd come in late but I haven't seen her yet." Clark had said.

Just then Pete spotted Chloe comming up the stairs, heading for the front door.

"Speak of the devil." Pete grined and indicated Chloe with a slight toss of his head. "Or more like vixen." he added. He had a feeling Chloe would string him up from the flagpole if she heard him call her a devil. Although, it was a correct analogy sometimes. Especially around the time of the Torch's deadline. At those times Chloe could throw stress releted tantrums that would send the very hounds of hell scurrying away whimpering with their tails between their legs.
It was hard to imagine that with-in this petite girl rested enough force to reduce a front lineman for the Smallville High Crows to tears, finnish the lineman's review herself (which he had forgotten to write), as well as finishing the cover-story and 3 other columns, get the full layout done AND make the deadline with an hour to spare and STILL have enough energy left over to do a full day at school and spend time with her friends afterwards. In fact, if he hadn't witnessed it himself, he probably wouldn't have believed it.
She was a fighter. Intelegent. Fun. Had a great sence of humor. And she was a rare beauty, to boot (even though it seemed to Pete that Clark was oblivious to it). He couldn't help but admire her.

As Chloe noticed them Pete's grin transformed into a full fledged smile as he waved to her. She smiled back and noded at them before hurrying into the school.
Pete could tell from the looks of his friend that she was exausted. He couldn't help but worry about her. And it showed in the frown on his face.

"Damn! She was probably up all night trying to meet the deadline and her alarm must have gone FUBAR on her again." He said as a way of explanation.

The words had only just gotten past his lips when his entire world ground to a screaching halt. The realization hit him like a ton of bricks as his eyes whent impossibly wide.

"Shit!!!!" He ran his hand accross his short cropped hair.
At Clark's questioning look he continued.
"The Deadline! I completely forgot! I still have to type up my take on yesterdays football game for the sports column!!"

"Oh man!!" he mumbled as he buried his face in his hands. He could just picture Chloe's face transforming into "Demon mode" when she found out. And the yelling he would recieve!!! Once she got going, a typhoon couldn't slow her down. Pete was sure she could yell over an air-raid siren at full blast and still be heard several blocks away.

"I am SO dead!!!"

Grabing his backpack he took off after Chloe.

~as he watched Pete run like a maniac. All he could do was laugh, he wanted to say a joke about how fast he was going but, it wouldn't make sense to anyone whoever heard it~

Smoot, Pete, smooth

~he shook his head and to a normal personh's eyes, someone must've just pulled a hoodini. Really, he sped off, running home in a flash and it only took him a couple seconds to get home~

Mom! Dad?! Must be inside

~as he went into his favirote place, the barn. He went up the stairs and sat down on the sofa he had braught up here a long time ago and sighed.~

Chloe

She toyled around the office of the Torch putting together the final pieces to print the paper. Pictures and articles were being pieced together. Finally she made it to the sports section and noticed a gaping hole where the football report should be. Just as she looked up she saw Pete run to the door.

"Hey pete whats up?" Chloe asked.

"Dammit Pete you didn't even type the report did you. How could you do this. It was you only responibility, I do everything but sports and yet I'm done and you're not. Look I have had a rough week, minus your story the paper is ready so when you are done, hit the print button and thats it. Then you and Clark meet me at the talon and we will work on the next issue and ill buy you both a drink. Oh, don't forget to lock the door." Chloe said as she walked out not waiting for a response.

Pete

Pete's arival at the door to the Torch's office was not a very greacefull one.
He'd stubbed his toe while rounding the courner in the hall at a speed that, had he been caught, would have landed him in detention for the rest of the year.
Trying to hurry towards the office, he hobbled along the corridor trying to shake off the pain in his toe while trying to keep his balance at the same time.
He was just about to the door when gravaty finally won and sent him tumbling. Right in to post of the door. His chest hit the door post, to which he released a very un-macho-like grunt.
Barely managing to hold on to the door and the post he managed to keep himself from falling to his knees.
He looked up to see Chloe looking at him.
"Great!" he thought. "She probably saw the whole thing."
"On top of being someone who betraied her trust and let her down, Im a total spazz! My life is officially over!"
Pulling himself to his feet and straightening his jacket he tried to think of something cool to say and came up blank.

"Hey pete whats up?"

She was speaking to him. He had to find something to say, and fast.
"Oh, well, uhm, nothing much, I, I, I just, well, you know....."
Christ! he was spluttering. He just hoped he didn't look as guilty as he felt. Knowing his luck, he probably had the word "TRAITOR" writen accross his forehead in a firy red magic marker. He shot a quick glance towards the extra computer in the room. It sat there, quiet and still. It's dark monitor mocking him. When his eyes returned to Chloe's face and he saw the way her expression had changed, he knew she had caught on to him. He was in trouble!

Dammit Pete you didn't even type the report did you.

"uhm, w- well..... " he studdered. Oh boy. She was pissed.

How could you do this.

"Well, I..... " he tried.

It was you only responibility,

"I know, but..... " Nope. Strike 'pissed'. She was furious.

I do everything but sports and yet I'm done and you're not.

Pete hung his head in shame, his sights firmly glued on the toes of his shoes, as he shuffled his feet slightly. He felt horrible. She must have felt so betraied by him. He expected her to let loose a disappointed sigh. What he got instead was, in his mind, something far worse.

Look I have had a rough week, minus your story the paper is ready so when you are done, hit the print button and thats it.

He felt like she was brushing him off.
He winced slightly before noding his head glummly.

Then you and Clark meet me at the talon and we will work on the next issue and ill buy you both a drink.

She stalked past him and he caught the faint sweet scent of her shampoo. He wanted to say something, to appologise, but she spoke again, cutting of his train of thought.

Oh, don't forget to lock the door.

"Look Chloe, I'm s..... " He tried but she walked out the door leaving him alone in the office. He ran his hand over his short cropped hair and sighed. He felt like the biggest scum on the face of the earth.
Looking at Chloe's computer he saw the gaping hole in the layout displaied on the screen. The hole that was suposed to contain his report. As his guilt gnawed at him the hole in the layout seemed to grow bigger.
Plobbing down into Cloe's chair he stared at the screen. He had the report laid out, word for word in his head. Now he just had to type it up. Sighing, he straightened himself in the chair and started typing.

"My kingdom for Clark's super speed." He grumbled under his breath.

Chloe

Chloe booked out of school and into her car. She was hungry and looking for a place to sit down and hang out. The Talon was a perfect place for both. She parked outside and walked into the Talon. She Walked up to Lana and said hi then ordered a coffe and a muffin. She walked to an open table and sat down to wait for Pete and Clark. She was feeling a little bad for yelling at Pete earlier. He deserved a speech but not the tounge lashing he received. She started thinking about how much not being able to get off for the last week had to do with it. She turned her gaze to the window waiting for her friends to show up.

~he looked at his watch which read the time time in whichhe was supposed to meet Chloe and Lana at the Talon. In an instant, he was at his home and then at coffe shop. He walked in without anyone noticing and saw Lana as she just sat down. His large body went over to her and sat down~

Hey Chloe, what's going on?
