I have always been curious: Why do men like women that look like sluts? I guess the answer is obvious, but, in a way, it isn't. Why do you like the ones who look like trashy, cheap, $20 hookers? The ones who cake on the eyeliner and red lipstick? Who have that "rode hard and put away wet" look?

I know, I know the answers are there even as I type, yet it still puzzles me. Is it because they do look so easy? Like they would have wild sex at the drop of a hat?

Do you not think women who dress more "appropriately" or modestly or conservatively would be willing to have sex? (believe me, they are willing!)

So c'mon guys, tell us why all of you always turn and stare and do double takes when you see a trampy looking girl go by!

Analyze this...

Deniro and Billy Crystal did a movie a while back about a mobster boss and his analyst. Crystal asked why Deniro needed to see a prostitute. Basically because he wanted a blow job. Crystal asked why? won't your wife do it? Deniro snapped back "those are the lips that kiss my children...whassa matta wid you?"

He hits it right on the head. In the US, more than anywhere I've ever been. Sex is nasty and dirty, something that is done out of duty. That's what I was taught to whole time I was growing up. I'm not saying everyone thinks that way, but it's a real contradiction. So, the cheaper and nastier the woman looks the better the sex must be.

Contradiction? American women wear more makeup than anyone in the world. What's the makeup supposed to portray? Pouting, aroused lips, the glow of orgasm on the cheeks, perfection and desirability. Sort of like a fishing lure I suppose.

No, I'm not interested in women who look "nasty" because I don't consider sensuality and sexuality to be "nasty" nor is it a fetish of mine. CD-able wears no makeup, dresses classy and sensually, showing plenty, and is the sexiest woman alive.

So...we aren't all that way...hee hee.

I don't

Aside from nail polish and an occasion slap on of a base coat and some powder deshine finish coat, I haven't mastered the make up thing yet. 29 and I look like a 3 year old running amuck with greasepaint when I attempt to self-torture and apply. My mother thinks it's shameful. I think it's the reason my skin looks years younger.

KM, I don't go in much for makeup either- a little blush and some lipstick. My problem is more with hair. I could never master that trick of the HIGH (teased) hair those slutty types seem to favor.

Perhaps that is why I wear my long hair straight. I am too uncoordinated to figure out how to use curlers.

And I appreciate the fact that you gentleman prefer a classy, more discreet type of woman. Shame on me for making generalizations. I should have said Why does it seem some men prefer slutty girls?

Still there have to be some men on here who like that look and I am still curious as to why.

Thumper, sweetie, I know you like ALL women! :)

Same here.

Again, same here. It's sad, really. Anything more complicated than ponytail or curling iron, is completely beyond my abilities. LOL

Actually, I think I don't do too badly for someone who had to figure these things out on my own.

Anybody want to tutor a slightly spastic 33 year old in makeup? Anybody? No, I didn't think so. ;)

Ah damn, I came running in here hoping to see some sluts...

:p

There's a difference in looking like one and acting like one don't you think?

I think you'll find 95% of men want their women to look nice, not too over done, but, once they get you in the bedroom they want you to "act" like thier slut. Nothing wrong with that at all.

It's only a few percentage of men that actually want their women to look like a slut. Men want mystery, they want to use their minds and enjoy the whole "undressing you with their eyes".

Make-up when properly applied isn't bad at all, but I do agree that some women go way overboard during the day, go more for the natural look. I don't wear make-up too often nowadays and my skin benefits from it, but when I go out somewhere nice I like to get "dressed up", not that that happens often with a 5 year old (LOL).

So my take on this is that not ALL men want their women to look like sluts.

The same reason the lions go after the sick wildebeast,
They'll take the easiest route they can :)

I agree with Nicole...I have often heard the phrase,"A lady in public, and a slut in the bedroom". I think that is what most men picture as the perfect woman. The ones they marry, anyway. Right guys? Even us ladies like to play the "slut" every now and then. My husband enjoys it. But when it comes to everyday, public life...I am a 100% southern born and bred lady. And most "ladies" you meet have a slut side as well. We gotta have some fun. ;)

Not all guys like "sluts." Sorry ladies, but my stand is with the guys this time. Looks are important. If they weren't, no Human would take a shower, put on make-up, dress their best, or anything like that. Every culture has something that attacts men to women. It's the law of nature.

Unfortunately, some women in this culture think more is more. Uh.. no. Less is more. In make-up at least. Caking on twenty pounds of make-up will NOT cover what's naturally there. It's supposed to enhance anyway.

As for clothing, c'mon ladies. If you got it, flaunt it. I'm not saying strip down to your thongs and bra, but if you've got that flat stomach, wear a small top, and let the guys drool over your abs. Got nice legs? Wear the skirts that makes the guys do a double take.

I don't think I've met a single lady who says "I hate when guys look at me." Hell, I'm flattered to get noticed. Stared at, no. But noticed of course! It makes you feel good, that you can attract someone just by walking by them.

Isn't that what sexuality is about?

Well All I can say is. That I, for one, definate dont go for the slutty look.
If any woman ever wanna get me to ogle her to the point of the extreme.....well Business look Ladies.

A-fucking-men. Beauty is beautiful. When we appreciate our own beauty - and are able to appreciate beauty in others - it makes the world that much more...beautiful.

This means accepting who you are...which means using make-up (if you choose to do so) and clothes to accentuate - not to build yourself a whole freakin new face. The other day Manu and I saw this bizarre woman at the dentist (where I seem to be spending all of my time lately). She had to be in her 50's, maybe 60's. She had Raggedy-Ann style makeup - her lashes were glued together in huge spikes, with red-red lipstick and circles of rouge. Her body was that of a fifty-year-old except for her boobs, which shot out like L'eggs Eggs tops (remember those?). I felt so bad for her...everyone in the office was staring at her, and not in the way she wanted, I'm sure.

It's important to take care of yourself to a certain degree because how you come across influences how people treat you, and how people treat you influences how you feel, which makes you more confident so people treat you better, and the cycle spirals upward. However, when you get to the point - as some girls I know have - where you're spending inordinate amounts of time and money trying to turn yourself into something you're not, then you're wasting your time.

Looks are transitory - Period. No one is 18 forever. That doesn't mean you can't be a beautiful person your whole life. It does mean that you have to realize that beauty radiates from within. How you look is determined by how you feel. My friend's grandma is turning 90 next month. She's wrinkled and grey-haired, but she's also spunky and fun and active and vibrant...and one of the most beautiful people I know. Her husband of 60 years agrees with me.

On topic, I think guys will look at any girl who sticks it out there for it to be looked it. Doesn't mean they'll date her or even talk to her. It's just a look. We women need to quit snarling at women who get attention from men. So she gets looks from the office guys...so what? Unless it's our boyfriend who's doing the looking, it doesn't affect our lives. Still, we like to get our panties in a wad because Sally Receptionist is wearing a push-up bra today. This jealousy among women is divisive and harmful to our own self-esteem. Just MHO. Flame away! :)

*peeking around corner* Is she gone? I can't flirt with Laurel watching me. LOL
