The theme always has that appeal unfortunately most of the stories I have come across are the same. Young girl (18) has her friends over brother gets involved, not always incestously but you get the picture.

Speaking as a female, slumber parties ended when middle school did. I never had one while in high school, and certainly not after I became a legal adult.

How often do 18 year olds really have them? Is it a myth to get men horny?

I don't think the whole slumber party thing is that bad, if its done right. If all the girls are going to have sex with eachother, only have 3 or 4 girls there. I know its been done to death, but a truth or dare thing could happen. Its sort of a cliche, but not many authors really get it right. They instantly jump into the lesbian sex talk. It should be paced a little slower than that, and lead into it more innocently at first.

Now this is a great idea! See? This, to me anyway, explains adults having a "slumber party" without the cliche just-turned-eighteen-year-olds still acting like innocent children one minute and slut the next.

I notice a predisposition to assume slumber party = lesbian. I now I enjoy a well written " Dad does daughter's friends" piece. And there are other variants- the neighbour, the pizza guy, the boyfriend who crashes the party, the brother.....

Plus, I also like the whole thing that Sir mentioned...with the older brother/pizza guy who crashes the party.

I know that for me "slumber parties" ended pretty much in Jr High. Expect for a few that were thrown by my sorority.

Nothing sexual happened....except at a few boy/girl sleepovers I went to where we played "seven minutes in heaven" and "truth or dare" but it was never lesbian...and the boys always had to sleep in the other room with the dad.

A journalist who recently lost a leg covering the war in Afghanistan and wants to go back home to help deal.

A single mother who stayed in the town.

A porn star and stripper.

A gay rights activist.

Alllured back to their roots by the 15th year class reunion. Problem I have is this story is going to be heavy dialogue and my dialogue blows. We will see how it all works out.

i voted for "Maybe, but always like new twists" because i think maybe you could add new and violent twists into a story. some people have told me that you can't have violence in a porn story and i tell them that that's the point - be slightly different and people won't expect it. so you could fill a house with a bunch of attractive but bitchy girls you knew in school and make them all 18 and so they do the lesbo thing but get massacred brutally at the end - very satisfying.

Thanks, I called my little brother, the version he knows is more like truth or dare.

I don't think anyone wakes up at thrity and realizes, gee, i'm gay. I do think people who are curious could possibly find the courage to try if reunited with old freinds and in the knowledge that she won't see these friends again for some time. Significantly better than a personal add or picking someone up at a bar. There is an already established relationship and a trust factor that comes with familiarity while at the same time a kind of freedom to get away if you discover it isn't for you.

As far as a slumber party being for kids, I think if Stacy or Shannon or Christy called and said hey, we are getting together for a slumber party wanna come? I would probably say yes. I think it would be fun, even at my age to just hang out, get buzzed and relive old times, reminisce and catch up. Of course these are my best freinds from my youth and we stayed together until the end of college. We had sleepovers in each other's dorm rooms whenever one of us was facing something difficult like a break up or failing a class. Also I know all three are totally straight, so there would be no erotic compnent to it. I still think it would be fun of a kind I don't get to experience very often anymore Of course I have been called silly and a sentimental fool on many occasions.

I'm all for the reunion idea.

Regarding slumber parties, heck I never had one period. We did have great girl's night in's though at Uni. Just a group of girls drinking, talking, playing silly games, dancing and pillow fighting. I guess that's the adult version to slumber parties.

Oh, and personally I don't think it'd be that hard to get two people to share a bed and cuddle up next to each other. Girls are more touchy anyway, well at least the people I know. Then it's of course another thing that nothing sexual would happen in real life.

That's not entirely true. Yes, a group of people sit in a circle. (Typically in boy, girl, boy, girl order in insure it a "hetero" game for kids.) And yes something like a glass coke bottle is best. But, the kissing is not dependant on which TWO ends the bottle points to. In fact, only one end of the bottle points. (The neck.) So, someone decides to go first. They spin. Whoever the closest person of the "opposite" sex is to the bottle neck gets kissed by the spinner. Then the one who was kissed spins next. And so on.
