Slow Ride (or "Why do stories pend so long?)

Just recently posted two new stories (well, one's new, the other's a story from when my username was Peg Leg Dukk)... but it's been nearly a week and they have not been approved?

I hate to nit, but is something lagging in the system for pending stories? Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes. I have two pending - one as Og, the other as Jeanne.

I assume it has been because of the excitement of the Nude Day contest and will gradually improve over the next few days.

I already have another couple workin' so I can wait. I have complete peace of mind about it. I hardly check twice a day any more. I can take it or leave it, you know what I mean?

I had a few pending for a while (and one rejected because I forgot the full stop at the end but they all cleared over the last couple of days.
One day I'll work out how to link them into my post

On the subject of hung stories:

I recommend reading the proxy post from Laurel about the glitch that caused the ruckus. You can find it here (note the date) and on this thread , which is worth seeing for Catastrophe's AV right now, and over in the other forum, here on this thread .

We are hardly half a week from that time. The problem now is the backlog from the glitch.

Oh I will let everyone know alright.

Though I am little disappointed in my ending, I felt I could have added a heck of a lot more detail, but I just felt so redundant as it was in other parts. BUT over all I am happy with it being my first story. I know I will be able to aviod that redundant feeling once I write more.

Okay, now the subs are moving... stories that is.

My latest isn't doing too badly... "A Perfect Pussy" seems to have taken off with a 4.31 avg. vote. No PCs though... I really like PCs. ^_^

Hopefully my short piece "My Concubine" will be posting soonest...
