Slow recovery time

I've been having some concerns lately about the time I take to recover after cumming. I find I need up to a day to be able to reliably keep an erection; before then I have trouble getting hard, and the erection doesn't stay for long enough to use.
I've discussed this with my girlfriend and she's not upset - I do enjoy giving oral as well! - but I find it somwhat annoying and I'm interested to find out if other guys here have experience of this issue, and what I can do about it.
