Sliding scale counting factor

I think Laurel shouldn't just count posts. Poor Uncle Bill will never get to 10,000 because each post he writes must take 2 hours of work.

Maybe a sliding scale? Every post Uncle Bill makes counts as 25 instead of one?

KM can work out the algebra for us. She doesn't have enough homework and can use the practice.

See the current total is somewhere around 1,247, which we'll call X since it's the unknown. We, those of us in Algebra, call unknown numbers X's or variables. Now, he makes two times the number of X posts, or 2X. Now the 2X usually costs $2 more at Wallyhell because it's got more cloth in it. So we factor that in as 2*2X which we divide into 1247. Now, 2 doesn't go into 1247, but it does go into 24. So the answer is 12.
