SLAVE REVOLT has just been updated, with a new article entitled "The Realignment of French Politics." It discusses the recent French Presidential election, in which the fascist Le Pen came in second and made it to the run-off round. However, the parties of the far left gained more votes than any else, even the far right. It's a complex subject requiring a fairly sophisticated political analysis.

Redwave,

Did you hear about the assassination of a Dutch Politian? Check it out.

No tears

No tears for neofascist Dutch politician Pim Fortuyn, but I do not advocate the tactic of political assassinations. Instead, I advocate building a revolutionary mass movement to DEFEAT the fascists in the streets, and drive them back into the sewer they crawled out of. In Weimar Germany, in the early thirties, there were big street battles between the Nazis and the Communists.

Even though he was overwhelmingly defeated in the run-off, just making it there gives Le Pen and the NF a prominence and legitimacy they would otherwise lack.

I don't think the French is not that stupid.

But I agree. I don't think the French are that stupid-- I think they will turn to the "far left" instead.

Viva Le France! Viva Le Difference!
