OK, this thread is for those playing a part in Sizzling Sensations thread.

I intend to keep this first post up to date by editing it so that people can at a glance see what is going on.

Feel free to add posts to the thread to discuss things going on or whatever

Current Location & Activity
In the studio -
Lolita 'lolipop' Jones (Kuuroinochou)
Danielle Levon (Mephistophelily)

Chatting in some corridor:
Gary Hayles (wehstar)
Jill Rivers (rvplymates)

Getting it on in the courtyard:
Dallas (showdolly)
Dante Cottrell (gagonthis)
Candy MacIntosh (Candywine)

Gone: Jane Fields (plainjane)

* hope that's both correct and helpful. It should fit with all facts in the IC, and hold it together as a sensible-ish story. Please let me know if not and I'll edit *

i was considering joining, but i didn't understand the idea behind the thread

Seem to be several of us on right now! Cool, jam session! ;)

Glad you gals seem to have liked my intro, thanks! Meph - or is it lily, or what? ROFL - Dani has a new friend? LOL I guess the rocker gals gel, that what ya mean? ;) Sounds like a plan.

FYI, especially to Jane:
I'd chatted with wehstar about joining, as a drummer, and later noticed jane's post. wehstar said to go ahead and join however i wanted, he'd not known if i was still interested so hadn't said anything. Here's my thoughts, as I wanted to clarify - totally don't mean/intend to boot Jane from the thread! I thought that first, Jane would "usually" play drums and it was Gary's intent all along to have Dallas play the extra stuff, and sometimes backup on guitar or singing, sometimes playing backup guitar or percussion toys (like tambourines) at the same time as backup singing. Then, sometimes, Dallas can play drums, kind of like a feature thing.
Also, drummers ARE naturally competitive as someone mentioned, and I was thinking that since Dallas has "attitude" that Jane gets on her nerves so bad she INSISTS on teaching the girl a few tricks of the trade. And, things would probably progress at some point during these 'lessons' between drummers. (And maybe Gary makes that happen sooner than Dallas anticipates?)
Sound like a plan? :D
One more note: Dallas will just get pissed if Jane tries to start stuff too soon. (That's already been set up in the intro I posted.) First, Jane gets on Dallas' nerves. Then, Dallas decides that Jane should learn stuff, and begins teaching her very impatiently. Jane shows that she's a quick learner in all things drum, and Dallas slowly warms up to her. Dallas will make the first move, unless Gary forces it first, in the form of a kiss or a glance or something. YOu'll know it when you see it. And it can go from there. Just wanted you to know that Dallas has an attitude.... jane can "try it" once and get reprimanded for it, warned, and from then on know to stay away, if ya want.
Sound good, Jane? And wehstar and all? That's just my thoughts behind all of it....

In general, Dallas has an attitude and EVERYONE gets on her nerves until they do something to convince her otherwise. And FYI in case anyone wondered - if any of you saw the most recent "Rockstar - Supernova" on CBS, my character is loosely based on Delana. :D Loosely though. My hair is one of my most loved assets IRL, so I'd never do what that chick has done to hers. And tone down the piercings a bit, and make her taller - LOTS taller - and that's Dallas. I loved the chick's clothes!!! And her attitude is definately in sync with Dallas' attitude. Just... rocker all the way. ;) Too much of an attitude for her own good sometimes, which is probably why Dallas hasn't had her break before now.

I don't know guitar IRL either, nor just a whole lot about the hard rock scene - classic only really - but I DO know drumming, other percussion niceties like I mentioned, and singing. So I can't correct ya, Kuu, sorry. LOL I do know music in general though, and wehstar and I discussed that as well. ;)

And Kuu - yeah, I'm not playing the bitch on many if any threads, so I'll take it this time. LOL I'm a nice girl anyway, so playing the bitch might even be good for me, who knows. :D And yeah not meaning to rag on you IRL, glad you saw that and found it amusing. I figgered ya would. And really, Candy is the one that will get on Dallas' nerves the most - and no offense to the real Candy intended! (I'm a singer too, a soprano even, so yeah, I got 'tude when it comes to my voice too. LOL It's a soprano thing!) Just going on the basics of everyone else's profile, and trying to play the bitch on at least one thread, so no one take any of it personally PLEASE! I'm looking forward to playing the part, and sorry to all that I was so late joining! (Thank wehstar for saving my place, and more for starting it on my DAY OFF! GRR! roflmbo!)

and now back to your regularly scheduled jam session....

ROFLMBO! Ya know? I thought the same thing, but um, "others" were calling you Meth, I assumed simply cuz it was the first pronouncable syllable in what you've typed. (Which at first appeared to me to be just a bunch of letters! What's it mean, anyway?)
But yeah, LILY always seemed to make sense to me. ;) And sometimes I remember that you're fae, and sometimes I don't. ;) But either way, it seems strange to keep calling you that.... maybe lilyfae? HA! kidding.

As I remember it Mephistopheles wasn't actually the devil, but just a name for a demon that Faust sold his soul too, it's often used interchangable with the devil in common days, but I think it's origins are actually as the name of a minion of satan, not satan himself.

Right - I just realised I didn't post a Bio for my character

Gary Hayles
Management type, 33 years.
6ft, sorta mousy brown & tidy hair, greenish eyes, clean shaven.
Always wears a flash suit, created by his Italian tailor.
Sexually, he's pretty much a typical guy, has a particular thing for tight fitting clothes on bodies that pull it off
Comes from Britain, moved to USA (I assume this is where most of the players are from, so that is where it will be set I suppose) a few years ago with a promotion. Single. Doesn't know a lot about anything, but has a good knack of getting the right talent & expertise working together as a team. Realises the world is about presentation and image.

Well hey there! What you doin up and around at this time? Don't I normally see you mid-afternoon (well, my time anyway)? Whatcha doin on now?? :) And HI!! :rose:

EDIT: aaaaaaannnndd.... he's gone. see ya soon, babe!

I think plainjane dropped out of the thread, so we may want to find a way to write her off or else jsut pretend she was never there

Did she tell you that? I've noticed before, in other threads, that her posting is a bit... erratic. She'll go several days without posting anything and then suddenly post again.
And I'd think it just... well just common courtesy to at least tell the thread owner if one was going to drop from it.

Anyway, I hope she didn't quit over me, and if you and her are PMing please invite her back on my behalf. Invite her to read my OOC post about my plans and hopes for our two characters on this thread.
And before we write her out, I'd like for at least someone to know for sure, so if ya do, say so. ;)

Well that's just what she told me in PM, felt there were too many characters, which is understandable. I sort of feel the same way, but I'm also curious enough to see where this thread goes to stick it out :)

Ah. Okay. Well let her know I didn't mean to push her out of it, and she's welcome to read my OOC about the ideas I have/had for our two characters, and we won't write her out until she says (or you convey) for sure. :)

Thanks for the note!

Well I'd suggest sending her one yerself, She only sent me one, we aren't really chatting through it, she just sent me the note and wanted to know where in the NW i was :)

BTW shame about the gypsy thread petering out. I thought it had potential, just sort of ran out of things to write.. heh.

It's not, it's damn early. Got up a little early this morning.
Never knew anyone dropped out, but it happens I suppose with so many people running about. Shame about that, and about having to go to work.

OOoooooooooohhhh, okay W! Well have a good day, I guess (said scoffingly cuz it's almost 3am here), and see ya soon! Thanks for the visit!

And ah, yeah, might send her one tomorrow then. Or W can, later. ;)

I'm sad about the gypsy thread too, but, you're right, just ran out of things to write.... :( Plus several people just ran away from it; not sure what was ever up with that, anyway.

3 AM? Getting up early? You're all crazy it's only 1 in the morn here!

um, no..... STILL up. ;)
we're a late night family here, and i try to be off here between 2 and 3... just lost track of time tonight and am a little late getting offline. dh works nights, we homeschool, so we stay up late and get up later too - like, around lunch. kids usually sleep until around 11. ;)

i know it's weird, but it's what works for us, and it works quite well. most of the time. LOL (Sometimes the kids decide to get up earlier, and me having sleeping problems, it's an issue if dh can't get up or isn't still up.)
but anyway. you needed to know all that, i guess. kids go to bed around midnight, sometimes i let the older one stay up a bit longer, and sometimes one or the other of the little ones WONT go quite that time. but they're usually all out at least by 1am.

but tonigth they were early, most of them, so i'll probably regret staying up LATE on a night they went to bed EARLY. ah, well. such is life. :)

Yeah I'm a late night person myself. Average bedtime is around 3 AM or so.. I just finished college and haven't quite taken the leap into the working world yet so I'm enjoying this for as long as I can before I have to start thinking about the future :)

ROFL, not sure why that's funny, but it is. ;) Congrats on finishing college; i almost did. [scoff]

i gotta run now, looking forward to playing with you on this thread, and hopefully more soon. :rose:

night all!

That was me before I realised the world revolved around money.

Anyway, unfortunately plainjane has confirmed that she doesn't want to play in the overcrowded thread any more, so Jane can be written out. Right now I'm thinking Gary could kick her out to make an example of her in some way. I don't know.

If that statement / question is aimed at me I'm sorry but I really don't understand. I don't have too high an IQ I'm afraid.
Or maybe it was a general outburst, or it means something to someone.

[clears my throat to speak in my most doctor-like voice, well, if i have one]

I think Kuu just has occasional, random outbursts, which mean nothing to anyone but herself.

:D
love ya babe. :rose:
