I have spent the last six months in hotels (from Best Western road-sides to mid-town Holiday Inns to Hiltons and Crownes) and I now totally hate living in hotels.

But why hotels? Thought you were living the ranch-ish life, eh?

There never was a damn thing good about hotels, and the chains are the hollowest. All stamped out of the same wall-to-wall; you wake up and have no idea where you are, because they blend so damn well.

Oh, chica, I'd been happy as could be raising horses on the farm--and hope to go back soon--but I got a call and an offer to run hotels for property management company and I just got back from the tour of all the ones I'm helping with.

I like them, don't get me wrong. There's a lot of good work being done on the brands and all that. I enjoy the people and the industry.

But, I miss cooking. I miss fresh air.

I miss sleeping in sheets that smell like me and m'baby.

Joe!!!!!! *hugs* so good to see you! I knew I should have got up early this morning. Look for the positives, love. A new view each time you move, room service and osmeone else making your bed...

Yeah, I know. I'd miss my own bed too, especially the person who sleeps in it with me and I'd definitely miss home.
