I love the show, but I hate Brenda. I want to scream, "Get a shrink, or a group, or some gaddamn Zoloft so you can get over your 'non'-borderline personality and be emotionally available for someone who needs you!" Whew, I feel better.

And then there is Claire, one of the best characters on T.V. I loved her retort to the guidance counselor this week. She's the only voice of reason in the chaos, like Jane in American Beauty, but with much more empathy. I'm trying to remember if Claire's ever talked to the "presence" of her father? I don't think so. Any other fans out there?

I was hooked on the show last season, and do enjoy it very much.

I don't believe Claire has talked yet with the "father". It's strange for me because I'm not really attracted to any of the characters. They are just a fascinating group to watch!:rose:

Big fan here. Best new show on TV, in my opinion.

I don't think Claire has ever communicated with her dead father, now that you mention it.

I agree about Brenda, the self-absorbed little bitch. She's starting to irritate me. Think she'll sleep with that cute guy from the bar?

I watch this show religiously, it's one of the only non-cartoon shows I actually watch. And yes, she has talked to her "father." The one incident I remember off the top of my head it when she was talking to her father about how she feels like her brothers had it so much better when they were growing up and how they always made movies of the boys. Her father gets a camera to tape her coming down the stairs and she says it's too little, too late.

It's so sad that I know this isn't it?

:D

Edited to add: She's talked to her father a bunch of times about her boyfriend too.

Thanks Mellon Collie. I remember that one now.

I foresee Claire and her mom having a moment soon. I hope it's not too sappy, but I have faith in the show. I totally bought Ruth's faked phone, and I love writing like that.

I wonder when the issue of Rico being uncomfortable with David being "out" is going to come up again, especially with the machismo crap he's getting from his cousin.

I love it, it's the best show on TV in my book too.
Claire talked to her Dad- he said to her that her boyfriend would be "coming over to my side soon" remember?
I loved the moment when her Mom told her she had once had a crush on Jane Fonda and Claire replied "Well, she's single again, so now's your chance"

SFU kicks ass!

I want to see Ruth in a leather corset and spike heels getting fucked doggy-ways by the Russian flower shop guy.

Not really.

Is Robbie a threat or is he gay? I'm not sure what to make of his new openness with Ruth. Is it platonic? They were pretty friendly in the bar and we know Nikolai (sp?) has a jealous temper. "The Plan" is so blatantly AA and those meetings are big time meat markets, in my experience.

ruth in real life atress

seen on of those hbo promo spots with the lady who plays ruth. would almost not believe she was the same person.......tremendous show, writing, and charactors.

Shhhhh!

Its on right now! I missed it on Sunday - GOd its been a long 48 hours till this episode!

Shameless Promotion (They're not paying me, really)

This is a reminder to watch Six Feet Under tonight so you can post on this thread. HBO 7:00 (Mountain time, you do the math.)

Based on tonight's "Next Week on Six Feet Under" I predict that Keith (sensitive black gay cop/punk-ass fudgepacker) kills his sister's boyfriend. I predict that this will open the episode and Taylor's dad will be the funeral of the show. We shall see.

Oooooo: Claire and the guidance counselor. I thought she was going to throw the picture of his girlfriend. Do you think that's what he wanted? She is such a good actress.

Hooray for the hippie vegan chick who talks the ants out of her house! Don't we all know someone like that?
