For decades now the Socialists/Communists on the board have been telling everyone that the individual must sacrifice for the greater good of society. And they've pretty much stuck to their guns on that core belief.

Now along comes the Wuhan Flu and all of a sudden things change. It is now society at large must sacrifice for the good of some individuals. Why is that? Could it be that because the Wuhan Flu can strike anyone at anytime they want
to play their "I'm an individual" card?

So which is it going to be you good Socialists/Communists? Who is to sacrifice to who and under what conditions? China, that bastion of International Communism forced everyone back to work almost immediately. At least you can't
fault them on living up to their credo. Time to decide. Are you a good Socialist/Communist or not?

On the surface it appears that the Libertarians make for better Socialists/Communists than you do and that's funny (funny as in peculiar, not amusing) as all get out.

In reality there is nothing unusual about the left having a fluid position on things. Look at all the shit Obama did and there was no outrage. The reality is that the left has no moral compass at all. The rank and fill brainwashed left is composed of selfish people that want free stuff. They don't care about anyone's rights. They do not see wealth redistribution as stealing. That is unless it is their wealth. Imagine how they would scream if they were being taxed to death to pay for things like a boarder wall. So, you are totally right. Their reaction to the China Virus* is another example of their hypocrisy.

But what goes around comes around. Lord knows when the cold wind blows it will turn your head around. Someday they will regret living in the world they are creating.

*I like the term China Virus better because it directly focuses attention on the evil communist government in China and hopefully calling it the China Virus will stir up hatred for the gross evil of communism and socialism.

Strawman arguments again? Come on! You can do better than that. Very few people WANT to go around infecting others. But when law makers start talking about taking guns away that has nothing to do with the China Virus. Telling people they can't go out on their own boat and fish has nothing to do with the China Virus. Telling people that they can't go outside and mow the lawn or play with their own kids in a park when nobody else is around... those are the kinds of tyrannical thing that have people pissed off.

Also, please take note of the fact that nobody on earth has a natural immunity to the China Virus. That means that sooner or later everybody is going to have it until there is herd immunity. Only a very thin fraction of the population will die from it. Just like very few die from the flu or car wrecks. There may never be a vaccine. After years we still have no vaccine for other Corona viruses like the rhino virus (cold virus). So it makes sense to wash hands and wear a mask and practice social distancing so that we are not all sick in the same month and overwhelm the medical capacity. But that is all this is about. Slowing it down not stopping it. China has given the world a new "normal."

Just because people have AAC syndrome is no excuse for using strawman arguments.

675,000 Americans died of the Spanish Flu in 1918. Nobody, not the President, the Congress, the Governors of the states, or the Press, suggested shutting down the economy, or stripping Americans of their constitutional rights. There is nothing held more dear to Americans than their freedom and their civil rights, hundreds of thousands of them have voluntarily ran, marched, charged, to their death in its defense in our history. It's time to tell the totalitarians to pound sand and get back to work. Maybe the Democrat Congress can provide some leadership by coming out of hiding and get back to work representing the people of the United States in Washington DC.
